Very nice atmosphere that really make you feel like you are on a holiday. Bump into a wedding ceremony when I checked in. Staff was friendly. However there are no free parking even staying with the hotel. I like the view from the window.

The front desk staff was friendly and we had smooth check in and check out experience there. Parking, breakfast, and minibar were included/complimentary, which was great. However, the room we stayed was small, significantly smaller than 33 square meters as listed. Further, the view from the terrace was another disappointment, from which we could only see the building nearby. Overall, the hotel was below our expectations for an intercontinental property.

The hotel is great. Although the room is small, the supplies are complete. The minibar in the room is free and replenished every day! The bedding is very comfortable and the sound insulation effect is also good. Even if you occasionally hear someone talking in the corridor, it does not affect your rest! The smallest Intercontinental I have ever stayed in (of course, it may be because I have never stayed in an Intercontinental vacation before). The hotel is very unique. It was renovated from an old local building.

Was reading the reviews before hand to see what people are thinking about the Hotel and yes there are a lot of interesting reviews written by some precious people We stayed in a two bedroom suite with the kids for three nights Room was great and well appointed. Swimming pool was perfect for Adults and Kids. And Heated. Great service around the Pool. Yes breakfast was not great and needs to be improved a lot. What surprised me the most was Hotel Guests that were complaining about the most simple things in the Hotel. Making a mountain out of a mole hill. If you don’t like it and it was not what you expected, leave, check-out, go home. Would I come again - Yes with the family and Yes just with my wife.

A beautiful heritage setting with modern appointments and vibe. Close to everything and with sea breezes you’re right in amongst everything that’s great about Sorrento. A beautiful hotel in a lovely part of the Mornington Peninsula. My upgraded room was lovely aside from the lack of good lighting in the bathroom for my wife's makeup, etc. Complimentary minibar items made the stay even more memorable! Lovely breakfast room and a great breakfast with many food / fruit options and a made to order omelette bar. VERY friendly and most helpful staff. Indoor parking included helped make for a carefree stay. Will return again for a long summer weekend.

There are mixed reviews about this hotel so I wanted to put in my two cents. Traveled as a couple for one Friday night stay in the Classic King room. The hotel was well presented as well as the room. The service was good and didn't found anything to be wanting. The street surrounding the hotel also gave the area a bit of charm and sufficient to explore for an overnight stay. Dined at the hotel and the food and drinks were good and reasonably priced. The selection at the breakfast was bit limited (it was a buffet) but understandable given the location of the hotel (further out from Melbourne CBD). All in all, I thought the hotel was great, something that you would be hard pressed to find an hour outside of Melbourne CBD.

Known as the Conti by locals the InterContinental Sorrento is right in the middle of Sorrento so it is an easy walk to restaurants, shops and even the ferry to Queenscliff. Staff are friendly and the rooms are excellent with great facilities. There is also a gym, a bar and restaurant and easy parking. Do yourself a favour and stay here !

Diabolical. Faulty Towers is better run. The people in charge of the hotel and function centre have absolutely no idea what they’re doing. They were rude, unhelpful and incompetent. Where to start… From refusing to serve drinks to the bridal party when they first arrived, so they could toast the speeches, to making guests exit down dark uneven stairs (lawsuit in the making). Strange given they also refused to dim the lights while everyone was dancing. Guided us to the pool deck for photos and then told us only guests were allowed into the area (half of us were staying there). Requesting the bride leave her wedding to check into their room because they didn't have it ready when she arrived… seriously. The bridal suite was prepared with a bottle of warm champagne and ice bucket with no ice. This is what you can expect from the Intercontinental Sorrento. Amateur hour. Ridiculously bad.
