Innisfree Bed & Breakfast

Our stay at this B&B was very disappointing. We arrived at 4 pm and found no one there. I called the number listed on website and left a message. The owner called me back and stated we should have received an email with instructions and code for door. We did not receive an email. She gave us the code and said she may or may not see us. That she was a nurse. She was on property when we arrived. She did not stay. In a previous post it states that this B&B is/was for sale. It looks tired and worn. Many wall decorations have been removed and the decor is mainly cheap brick a brack. My point is photos on website are outdated and not accurate to current conditions. It states on website that it has been renovated. It does have good ac but no other renovations. Bathroom was not quaint but old and dingy. We did not shower. Lastly, owner informed us no hot breakfast during the week since she works. She had boxes of cereal, granola bars, a loaf of bread with toaster and Hostess donuts. Also a Kherig for self serve coffee. The website did not state this and it was not what we expected. There is no one in charge on property. Only guests and a front door code. Not what we expected and in my opinion very creepy. Would not recommend to readers.

We came to town for the Notre Dame vs USC game. Although the Inn is not in walking distance to the campus, it is easy to get an Uber. The Inn was cute and very clean. I felt like I was staying in a legit Victorian home, which we were because it’s on the National Historic registery! We stayed in the Michael Collins room which was cozy and had its own bathroom.Our host, Stephanie, went above and beyond for us. Her breakfasts were yummy and she took care of us when our travel plan’s unexpectedly changed (the bus we were booked on cancelled and the Lyft driver we scheduled to take us to catch the train decided to stop at McDonalds before picking us up). Stephanie saved the day! She dropped everything to get us to the train station on time and we made our train! The Inn is within walking distance to a fantastic restaurant and bar by the name of Tippecanoe Place. It looks like a mansion (I think it is an old Mansion). I highly recommend this B and B.

Came for a family reunion. Innisfree B&B was gorgeous and the proprietor went above and beyond to make everyone in my family that stayed there feel great. Parents had an en suite while my sister and I had rooms with the shared bath. There were other people staying but we hardly ever saw them and the bathroom was always clean. Breakfast was delicious and were able to accommodate my slight allergies. I can't say enough good things about my stay and hope to one day return.
