Had a great stay at The Landing! Customer service was top notch. The shuttle, van, service was great. Was able to get dropped off and picked up at restaurants in the area. Would stay again

The day prior to our stay we found out the roads were all blocked unless you have a 4 wheel drive and chains. Neither of which we had or could get at the late notice. We called and the person at the front desk said we would get a full refund but that we needed to call ******* to start the request. We called ******* and they called the hotel and were told that they did not accept the cancellation and we were charged the full fee. We then called the hotel and were told they changed their mind on the refund. Beware!!! They will not refund you for road conditions.
Side note… my husband has brain cancer and I have Lupus so we did buy insurance. We are having to deal with that because neither of us were physically able to put on chains in bad weather conditions, even if we could get them. The process to get help from the insurance that we bought through ******* is very difficult.

One of the best properties I have ever stayed, anywhere. The location, our room and views all around were all stunning. Plus the staff was super helpful. It may be pricey but just the views makes up for it!

This is a great spot, but I would have been just as happy staying at one of the renovated motels nearby. You don’t have a view of the water - just at the restaurant. Coffee in the lobby was nice, and they do give you champagne on arrival, but for a lot less, you can stay a block away from the water and access these amenities just as easily.

As someone who travels frequently, this place is certainly a hidden gem for South Lake Tahoe and simply AMAZING!
First, the greeting received upon arrival was genuine, authentic, and personable, making the experience rare, fun, and memorable. Second, the entire hotel staff is very attentive to their guest! Want a shuttle ride to the ******'s even though it's walking distance from the hotel and don't want walk in the cold winter night, they got you! Want to be picked up after your done? They'll come and get you! Course there are shuttle cutoff times, but you can expect friendly and prompt attention.
The in-house restaurant has excellent food and the staff will go above and beyond to serve you no matter if it's room service or a dine-inn experience.
Only reason a full five star review wasn't given is because of the toilet paper you'll be wiping with is a we bit ruff on the bum and the pillows were super soft. However, that's a personal gripe and miniscule as everyone is different and if you require a certain type of pillow to have a great night sleep in a beautiful and quite environment or tee-pee to do your potty business, it's strongly suggested to bring what's best for you.
Bottom line...
This place is officially the new go-to hotel and first choice pick for the travels when in South Lake Tahoe!
