Ibis Budget Southampton Centre

The hotel was very conveniently situated, close to both the central station and the cruise terminal. Easy walking distance to both. The staff were very friendly and even lent us a phone charger overnight which was very appreciated. Would definitely use again.

Located very near town centre , shopping mall and restaurant . It has a car parking area cost £12/night and £24 for my 3 day 2 night trip. Room is tidy. But I thought hotel will auto daily reset the room door pin ??We failed to open room door and have to reset room card for everyday after came back . But no staff mentioned it during checkin . Due to the good location . Still Higher recommended.

Excellent location right next to the train station, 5 min walk to West Quay shopping mall and IKEA. On-site parking available which is very convenient. Parking lot is shared with Ibis and Novotel. There was a wedding event in Novotel in the second evening, the parking was full when we came back. Even though we paid for 3 days parking already there’s nothing the hotel staff could do. Luckily we managed to get the last parking spot later. The shower is nice and hot but the design of the shower cubicle does not give you proper privacy, maybe a concern depending on who you share the room with.

It is exactly what it says on the tin! A budget hotel. We’re used to staying in Travelodge, Premier Inn and Holiday Inn but this was by far the most basic of them all. Odd set up of bathroom facilities in room. Sink and mirror in the bedroom and then straight into the shower from the bedroom too, leading to a bit of a flood of water coming into the bedroom when getting in and out of the shower. Toilet was in a separate closet. Tight squeeze at the end of the bed to get to the other side. Clean but small. Made our inside cruise cabin look massive in comparison. Breakfast is included but it is a very basic continental offering. 3 cereals, bread for toasting, mini croissants and pain au chocolat, cheese, ham, jam and marmalade.

Great location, quite close to the train station and easily located, rooms were clean and service was great, heating system was a bit confusing at first but figured it out. Great place for a stay in Southampton if you are looking to pass through and see the town

Really clean rooms, there is no meals except from breakfast which was disappointing but the room made up for it:) TV had Netflix and YouTube so that’s perfect! Hotel next to McDonald’s and the mayflower so that’s also really good!

This is the perfect hotel for when you are traveling , we were boarding our cruise ship the next day and it is a perfect location. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Also great if you fancy visiting Southampton because it is walking distance from town.
