A sanctuary just 15 minutes from Detroit

We enjoyed the place . Nice scenic backyard . Comfortable inside. Only 15-20 mins from downtown Detroit. We came to see the Tigers play and visit the Henry Ford Museum. Had great communication with the owners .We will return again!

It was super peaceful! We loved having a home to stay in for our combined personal and business trip. It was only a couple minutes away from the Southfield business center, and a good middle distance from family and friends all over the metro area. We used the games in the shed and relaxed in the shade under the trees. The beds were comfortable for our middle aged bodies and this was literally the most well-stocked rental we've ever stayed in. We barbecued one day and we didn't have to buy a single condiment - they were all there in the fridge (and not expired). The owners live next store and they were easily accessible, if we had had any issues or questions. We'd be happy to stay there again!

Nice property. Vintage bathrooms. Absolutely a great yard and patio. The wildlife was entertaining to watch.

This home is very much a sanctuary, as the listing states. And it’s charming and warm and inviting. Very comfortable bed. Deer and wild turkeys and other wildlife in plain view from the picture window. Check-in was very welcoming: an unlocked front door and a handwritten note. This was an idyllic place to spend a few days in and near Detroit. Loved it! I can’t imagine anywhere else I’d rather have stayed.

This home is as incredible and truly a sanctuary. Everything was just as described, if not better! We are already thinking about our next trip back, if they’ll have us! Thank you so much, Jeanne and Richard, for the incredible experience!

Easy access in with a quiet setting. Host was quick with response with any questions we had.

Centrally located in a quiet culdesac. Clean with views of nature, deer and trees. Cute fireplace with comfortable furniture. Decor is a bit dated but fit the rest of the house.

Perfect location and setting Who would’ve guessed you could have a stay in a wooded area in metro Detroit where we saw a deer, an owl, and turkeys in our yard.

A Slice of Heaven Where do I start? Everything about this spot and the hosts was amazing. It really is a sanctuary. We loved every minute hanging out in the backyard (understatement calling it a bkyrd), watching the birds and all the animals. Felt like we were in a Disney production. The house had everything! It was incredibly charming, with tons of curated books and art. It's nostalgic in the best of ways. You will not regret staying at this slice of heaven. We can't wait to be back
