Unbelievable experience!! Loved everything about this castle… if you want to stay in a 750+ year old castle with unbelievable staff, stay here! Restaurant was great, food amazing…
Ano (not sure if I spelled it right) and his wife (and staff) were unbelievably accommodating. Highly recommend staying here! Definitely worth the trip and money… can’t wait to come back!

The building is absolutely amazing, check in is 1600hrs sharp, there is no one available prior to that. Dinner was amazing and breakfast was decent. The grounds were in need of cleaning up (excessive weeds), but overall would go back again.

Fantastic!
This is truly a hidden jewel in the Kassel mountain area. Extraordinary historic sight, with a splendid view of the valleys surrounding the Schloss Spangenberg. And you live in the middle of it!
The restaurant offers a wide variety of food and wines, and our dinner was just amazing. Our room was very nice, spacious with an excellent and comfartable bed.
Very professional, friendly and service minded staff and management.
We will definitly return to Schloss Spangenberg the next time we pass through the Kassel area.

Amazing castle hotel -- my room was spacious, clean and incredibly quiet, with great sleep quality. From my room, I had a wonderful view across the moat of the town of Spangenberg. Parking was on-site, below the castle for free or near the castle entrance for a little extra. And my dinner in the castle restaurant was fantastic as well. Can't recommend Schloss Spangenberg highly enough!

Eine sehr schöne und Sehenswerte Schlossanlage mit Rosengarten, Hotel und Restaurant,es steht über der Stadt Spangenberg,Unter den Schloss sind zwei große und kostenlose Parkplätze,es ist nicht schwer das Schloss vom Parkplatz gut zu erreichen,Die Anlage war bis jetzt eine mit der besten die in einen Top zustand sind,auch der super gepflegte Rosengarten ist eine Augenweite. Dieses Haus vereint historische Würde mit echter Herzlichkeit – und schafft damit genau jene Atmosphäre, die man sich für solch besondere Lebensmomente wünscht. Der Service war in jeder Hinsicht herausragend: Die Gastgeber sind außerordentlich freundlich, aufmerksam und zugleich angenehm zurückhaltend. Sie denken mit, handeln vorausschauend, behalten auch im Hintergrund jedes Detail im Blick und geben damit eine spürbare Ruhe und Verlässlichkeit – gerade an Hochzeitstagen ein unschätzbarer Wert. Die Unterkunft ist exzellent: stilvoll, gepflegt und von hoher Qualität, bis in die Details stimmig. Kulinarisch wurde unser Aufenthalt ebenso auf höchstem Niveau begleitet – das Essen war schlicht großartig und rundete das Gesamtbild in perfekter Weise ab. So wurde aus einem Aufenthalt ein Ereignis: Schloss Spangenberg hat die Tage unserer Hochzeit für uns zu etwas wirklich Besonderem gemacht.
