The trip started badly , we were taken to security as I had a camouflage hat on . Apparently it is illegal in Tobago . Our suitcases were meticulously searched and anything with any resemblance to camouflage whatever colour was confiscated. Two pairs of shorts swimming trunks, my new dress , underpants , belt , my deceased dads hat . Very scary experience, stuff thrown back in case . At last we got our transport who were worried as we were so late getting to them ,over an hour late. Slow winding trip to hotel , after queuing for petrol took nearly 2 hours and. I suffered travel sickness. All rooms at Blue waters have fabulous sea views . It is remote destination, nothing in nearest village but it really is a beautiful place . The rooms are very basic . Ours had no fridge , my husband is diabetic needs his insulin cool so our neighbours suggested we have theirs . No tv either , but fine for us. Food was very nice , we paid all inclusive. BUT some things were ‘all gone’ no fish, no steak, no puddings I only had 3 puds all holiday. Though people we joined after our meal got puds which we were told 10 mins previously were sold out…but they were not AI , exactly same menu though. This really needs addressing as a lot of the people on the AI were moaning. Web page says still 2 bars one open till the last person leaves, there isn’t…. there is one only , it shuts at 10. Fire alarms went off 3 nights running . Sea is very rough here , certainly would be very worried if i had brought children here. Walking on the jetty to the boats is horrendous big holes and uneven lifted planks. Dive school has closed down , maybe since covid, no explanation. Games room locked . Swimming pool tiny but adequate but highly chlorinated, hot tub not on unless you ask at reception . Would I go again , yes if they sorted out the problems , maybe a bit later in year maybe Xmas or January . It was a beautiful view there which is a big plus point .

This is a lovely boutique hotel, on a beautiful beach. Perfect for a relaxing getaway. We had wonderful sea view rooms and really enjoyed our holiday. We were on an all-inclusive basis and our food was delicious, and thanks to Jason the head chef who went above and beyond to produce tasty vegetarian meals for the vegetarian in our group. He even cut some Aloe Vera from the garden for me when I had a bit of a headache. All staff were friendly and helpful, thanks to all, but especially wonderful Erica, who brightened our mealtimes. We loved the Blue Waters Inn and thoroughly recommend it!

We had a lovely week at Blue Waters Inn. The setting is picturesque and feels secluded and like a proper Caribbean paradise. The food in the restaurant was good. I was especially pleased with Jason, the head chef, who ordered in Tofu especially, as I’m vegetarian. I got to eat some delicious local curries (creole and coconut).

Visited the beautiful island of Tobago with my husband, and stayed at Blue Waters Inn for 2 weeks. This is a relatively small hotel, having only 38 rooms, which suited us perfectly. We arrived on our anniversary and the hotel decorated our room with fruit, flowers and a balloon. A very thoughtful touch. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. There is a small infinity pool, which looks out to the sea. You won’t get much swimming done in it but it’s perfect for relaxing and cooling off. The view from the hotel is stunning, looking across to Little Tobago and Goat Island (where there is an interesting derelict house.) We went on the glass bottom boat trip to Little Tobago to see the birds and snorkelled in front of Goat Island (you can’t go onto GI.) If you enjoy snorkelling, then Tobago is great; the water was clear and warm, and there were lots of colourful fish and corals (not as colourful) to see. You can book the trip with the rep at the hotel or just walk down to the jetty and talk to the guys there. We also went on a rainforest trek (booked through the rep.) It was nice to get into the jungle and learn from the knowledgeable guide but you see mostly birds (which you see everywhere.) We used Andy Orr for taxi services while on our holiday and he was also extremely knowledgeable about the island, its birds and wildlife in general. He also took us across the island to Turtle beach one night to try and see turtles laying. We were so lucky, we saw 3 turtles and watched one actually lay her eggs. Amazing experience! Andy is friendly, easy going and honest. I’d definitely recommend him. The beach was covered in sea **** when we arrived, which was a little disappointing (not the hotel’s fault) but they set about clearing it up and within a few day we had beach back and I enjoyed swimming in the sea in our secluded bay. We visited other beaches near Castara during our holiday, which were free of sea ****, with beach bars. All were lovely but none felt as private. We stayed all inclusive, which is mainly done a la carte restaurant style. I loved being able to order exactly what I wanted and the food is excellent. At times you had to wait a while for your meal because you could sit down anytime (during the breakfast/lunch/dinner window) and if lots of people turned up at once, it put them under strain. Some guests got annoyed at times but it didn’t really bother us as we were sat with a beautiful sea view and were in no hurry. The chef, Jason is an absolute star! Not only does he run the kitchen, he seems to pretty much keep the whole hotel ticking along and he is very attentive to all the guests. Brenda the manager is very friendly and helpful too. Sometimes service was a little laid back but all the staff were kind hearted. Tobago was very relaxing (which is just what we needed!) If you want entertainment, big crowds, be able to drink until the early hours or shop until you drop, then this is not the holiday for you! For us it was

Just spent a fantastic 10 days at this beautiful resort. Quite secluded but if you want a relaxing holiday can't think of anywhere better to spend it. Service is very relaxed, as are the staff, but there should be no rush while you are on holiday. Food was excellent, as was the chef who frequently came out of the kitchen to check everything was OK. Will definitely be returning and can highly recommend. Well done Blue Waters Inn.

My husband and I had an amazing time here. We were in a one bedroomed beach bungalow which was footsteps from the beautiful beach and very blue sea. Beautiful inside. We received a very warm and friendly welcome. The food was delicious, never had a bad meal and the staff and service were great! We hope to return in the near future ❤️

We stayed at this hotel for 11 nights, I found the accommodation more than adequate, so close to the beautiful ocean which sounded lovely as you lay on your bed. The food was really good if you like what is on the menu which I did, my husband was not so pleased as his taste in food is different, he likes chilii/ spaghetti etc. The service is relaxed especially if it’s busy in the restaurant but there was no hurry as far as I was concerned, it’s the way of life there. The staff were friendly, polite and caring, we were all inclusive so I felt they deserved a little tip to say a big thank you. The Frank boat trip was a highlight, such a caring, knowledgeable man gave us his time and information on Little Tobago. The birds are wonderful, we saw tropical fish and turtles. I fed the fish off the jetty, it was so relaxing being there, I hope someone else does the same, there are so many different fish. Would I go back, yes if I wanted tranquility, relaxation sun and lovely people but I have so many other places I want to go to first, so maybe one day. Thank you Blue Waters Inn I loved being with you.

An idyllic spot - sandy beach, beautiful bay, snorkelling, sea-facing apartments, good food and friendly staff. The bay is on the other of the island to the airport, the latter part of the journey follows the coast so there are a lot of steep hills and hairpin bends. The Inn has 38 apartments. The rooms are a good size with plenty of storage space, a good size balcony and a large shower. The water pressure is not high but is adequate for the shower. The room has effective air conditioning but no television. Wifi worked throughout the hotel. Other features include a balcony restaurant overlooking the bay serving very good food (a lot of fish), an infinity pool and sun lounging area and a games room. Several diving, glass-bottomed, boats run trips twice a day to Little Tobago. Knowledgeable guides point out the main flora and fauna - trails are quite wide, though steep in places. Wear stout shoes, use sunscreen and take plenty of water. The reef is not very colourful but the snorkelling is fun from the boats. It is easiest to pay for the boats in local currency. We didn't hire a car but were told that reception would arrange for a rental car to be delivered to the hotel at good rates. Once again can I emphasise how all the staff, whether working in the bar, restaurant or grounds were welcoming and very friendly and made the holiday just as much as the fantastic location.

On arrival it was OK, and were shown to our room. Afterwards we went for dinner which was good, cooked to order which was a surprise for all inclusive. Had a few glasses of wine, first night was a good first impression, then it went down hill and why we wont be going back, after dismissal of the reviews i read, i was tovregret it, the bar shut dead on 10pm not when the last person left, the next day we got up and had a shower although the bathroom was clean the shower screen looked like it could do with a scrubbing it still hadn't been cleaned all the time we were there, so first morning went for breakfast and given the menu after a while we got our food which again was really good. All the food was great throughout our trip, however for the first 8 days we were given the same menu for lunch and dinner with a choice of 6 or 7 things, however there is another menu, we called it the secret menu as you have ask for it, we found out 3 days before we left. There is a bar man who is like the worst I've ever came across, he didn't even speak to you to the stage where you didn't even know if he heard you, two nights in a row at 9.30pm we were told they ran out of red wine, it seemed we were limited to two glasses, I even witnessed one girl about to open a bottle, when the bar man called her back and we were told they had ran out. After speaking to the catering manager who confirmed that they had not ran out, things changed as far as red wine went, until our last day waiting for our pickup after a 45 minute wait for a portion of chips for lunch again was told no wine. Some of the young girls were really good but the older ones were not always polite. The pool was dirty and needed cleaning, there was a spa pool next to pool which had to much chlorine in it to the point it took the colour out of my shorts. We did see someone test it once during our stay. There is not enough shade around the pool unless you sit at a table there thee off. One good thing was the holiday rep Marva she was out standing who went the extra mile by getting us a replacement for a nebuliser as mine didn't work, she went through the town office to obtain one and kept me updated all day. A big thanks to Marva. But we won't be back at Bluewater inn.
