The hotel is very good. There is a pier at the door. Swimming is not allowed. It is full of yachts. The swimming pool on the fourth floor is very small and there are few deck chairs. The bar on the first floor is very comfortable. We drank and smoked cigars down there every night. It was very comfortable. On the left is the old city. On the right is the pier. There is a supermarket and pharmacy in front of the hotel. The rooms are average and a bit small, but the surrounding environment is very good. It is also a good hotel in Split. I also saw this hotel in a magazine in other hotels. The breakfast was also good, the waiters were friendly and the breakfast was rich. Very recommended.

The hotel is not in the old city on the edge of the old city, but because the old city is not big, it is very convenient to visit the old city. It takes a few minutes to go anywhere, and the hotel has its own parking space. The decoration is new and modern, the bathroom in the room is also very large, and the bath water is very comfortable. The biggest highlight is the large terrace on the top floor, with several jacuzzis, still warm water, and overlooking the old city, the scenery is invincible. Breakfast is not enough

Hotel Fermai is a wonderful hotel in Split, just about a five minute walk into Diocletian's Palace. When booking, we debated between this hotel and another one on the water, and chose this one to be closer to the ”center” of town. The building is historic and charming, and the rooms were clean and quaint. The beds were very comfortable, and the staff were just wonderfully kind and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts! The reason for the four stars vs five stars include - the rooms were small. We booked a suite, and even the suite was small, with very limited space to put your luggage and clothing. We ”lived out of our suitcase” while there which was frustrating. We booked a suite with a balcony, but the balcony was tough to access with the luggage in the way, and there wasn't any view to enjoy. However, I still highly recommend this hotel!

We booked the apartment as we were travelling as a group of 4 friends. Cannot comment on the pietra rossa rooms as they are in a totally different property. Make sure you know what you are booking. Ok so the apartment had good and bad points. Pros: The view from the apartment is beautiful There’s a lift that takes you to the apartment which is helpful as it’s on the 10th floor from what I can remember It’s only a 15-20 minute walk to the main centre of split It’s only a 5-10 minute walk to the beach A spar literally up the road Air conditioned and a tv with plenty of channels A large fridge A washing machine and clothes airer are in the apartment Beds were clean Cons: Noisy Air con is only in one room Only one wardrobe in one bedroom the other bedroom has no storage One bedroom has a working light and a lamp and the other bedroom has no working lights nor windows The bathroom is small, faulty and a bit dirty really The oven and hob above don’t look like they are cleaned as there was so much dust hanging off the hob Plug sockets and light switches hanging off the walls No safe Nothing to make tea and coffee The outside of the apartment looks like Del Boys block of flats from only fools and horses - not really a problem but not what you expect on holiday perhaps Not enough towels Broken ornaments around the property Some of these things wouldn’t cost a lot to fix and it would just make it tons better!! Suggestions ~ Another wardrobe A lamp and working light in one bedroom Fans for the bedrooms Replace the shower head and holder that’s faulty Replace the shower doors Paint the walls to freshen it up Add more towels Clean the hob and oven Maybe just freshen the decor up ie ornaments that aren’t broken etc Fix the switches hanging off the walls Include a kettle and a safe Personally I wouldn’t stay here again but for 3 nights it was ok. If all those things above were done I would consider it if I was coming back to split though. The host was a nice lady and she was quite down about her property. So she wouldn’t need to feel embarrassed or ashamed if she put a little more investment into it :)

The Briig is an absolutely beautiful hotel. From the moment you step inside you are greeted with sweetly perfumed air and a light and airy reception. The staff at front desk were friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed a room with a lovely view of the sea and a window that fully opens so as to enjoy the sea breeze. The hotel is perfectly situated next to the beach and a 15 minute walk to the heart of Split - perfect if wanting to walk off a meal. It feels like a quiet paradise away from the hustle and bustle. The breakfast is very well presented but we were initially not notified that there is a breakfast menu that we could order from - it was strangely hidden away from guests. We are also not initially asked if we wanted coffee or tea and thought that we had to get our own from the basic coffee machine. There was an actual coffee machine that we eventually noticed and had to ask someone for a coffee. The air conditioning is also controlled from reception - but they are happy to set it to whatever temperature you desire . The room we booked had a large kind bed and as I was traveling with a friend, they were nice enough to equip the bed with separate bedding for each of us .

Great hotel close enough to old town for a quick walk to the palace, yet just far enough away that it’s still quiet and easy to get to and from. Staff is great and being able to park the rental car overnight in the garage made a world of difference. Will come back and will stay here again.

Stayed here as part of a tour. The Hotel itself isn't too bad, nice rooms, mini bar, room safe & a good size TV. The bathroom is nice. However, they have squeeze bottle soap dispensers, which are a bit annoying. Breakfast was okay, but there was nothing to rave about. Staff were nice & friendly. There is a supermarket nearby and a shopping mall a short walk away. However the location is a bit out of the tourist part of town & I'm sure if yiur a tourist you could find something closer to attractions

Before arriving, I read reviews of this hotel. Many 1 star ratings with confusing reviews. When we arrived, the reception area is beautiful with a gorgeous view of the sea. There is also a bar and restaurant downstairs. We were on the second floor and there were stains on the carpet in the hallway, but that didn’t affect my hotel room. We walked in the hotel room and it was clean, brand new and spacious. The bathroom was so clean and big. The only criticism of the bathroom is that it doesn’t have an electrical outlet. The room had lots of storage and was well planned. The hotel is about 20 minutes from old town Split so we ate dinner in the hotel. We also had breakfast there. The food was great! Don’t be scared off from the one star reviews!

GGuest UserWe only stayed at House Sandra for one night but really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect. It’s a 10 minute walk to the old town / tourist area - far enough away to be out of the noise of the town but easily close enough to walk in and out. There is a supermarket less than a 5 minute walk and a nice pizza restaurant just 2 minutes walk away. The room we had was on the top floor. (A bit tricky taking a large, heavy suitcase up the stairs to the entrance hall and again to the main room - but you only have to do it once). The room was really spacious with a fridge, coffee machine, and some plates and cutlery. It had good air conditioning and the TV had Netflix and Amazon Prime installed (although you need your own account details). There was also a large sofa which could easily sleep another person. The bathroom was also a good size - it had a shower but no bath. Everything was spotless. I can’t think of anything bad / negative to say about House Sandra.
HHanyiiRoom was clean, and full of amneties for a studio room. AC worked well but there was a fly as the window was open before we came in. Receptionist showed us around the room and explained the check out process and breakfast (coffee and tasty croissants). Entrance to room can only be accessed from outside of the street. Hence, a little concerned about the lack of safety.
GGuest UserThe accommodation has several separate rooms all accessed from a main door to the building then a separate key coded door to a small foyer for Luxury Rooms Floramye and again a separate key code for access to the individual rooms. Very secure and no need to worry about swipe cards or keys to gain access. The foyer had maps of the main tourist area that guests can take along with some other brochures. A stand with umbrellas for guest use was also in the foyer and a small tub chair. The room I stayed in was large along with a separate large bathroom. The room contained a large bed with nice linen. A tub chair and another chair and small table that had coffee brewing machine, electric jug and mugs and glasses and spoon, bottle opener and cork screw. A small fridge (no freezer) was located under the small table enough to cool some water or drinks or a small amount of refrigerated food or milk. A medium sized television on the wall with local channels with the ability to log into Netflix using your own account if you have a subscription . Two large windows with shutters enabled light and air to be controlled in the room. There is also an air conditioning unit. Plenty of lights and power points including USB ports. A large wardrobe with hangers that also has some shelves on one side that has a safe and medical box. There are also multiple supermarkets near the accommodation and a few small food/cafe places and bakery very close by. There is a little traffic noise in the morning and evening rush hour but I had no problem with this and slept well . The WiFi in the room was very good. The bathroom has towels , hand towel, face washer and bath mat. There is also a hair dryer and heated drying rack on the wall for drying towels and power point and a shaver power point. The bathroom cabinet has two drawers for storing items in. The shower has two glass sliding doors for easy access and has a rainfall shower head and a smaller shower head that can also be hand held. Plenty of hot water was always available. The walk to the Riva or the bus station and ferry is approx 15 mins and with two wheeled luggage I had no trouble walking to the accommodation after arriving by train late in the evening. The other main bus station for city or urban buses was also approx 15 min walk. I would say the location is walkable but for those with a lot of luggage or not prone to walking after a day of sightseeing you may prefer to get transportation by bus or taxi . Overall I would rate this accommodation very highly . The owner communicated well and replied promptly with information about my stay and codes to gain access. I had no issues during my stay, with other guests from the other rooms coming and going always being respectful and as quiet as possible.
PPeterVery nice and large room, with beautiful views on the central square. staff is extremely nice and helpful. as the hotel is very small (upper floor of the building - each floor hosts a different hotel), there is no hotel restaurant. for breakfast, you get vouchers for neighboring restaurant ”bokeria”, which is very nice as well. the breakfast was excellent, especially the Dalmatian poached eggs.
hotel location couldn't be better - right in the center of the old town, all sights are just a 5 minute walk away. the hotel is in a pedestrian zone, but if you are travelling with heavy luggage, they can arrange to bring you very close to the hotel (by golf cart).
even though centrally located, if you have the windows shut, you don't hear any noise.
I can highly recommend this property to anyone interested in visiting the old town of Split. I hope to be able to return one day.
GGuest UserIt is a good option for you if you drive since the hotel is located 15 minutes from Split old town. It is a fair distance to drive to the centre. The hotel is new and clean with a modern interior design of the room which makes it pleasant to stay. The well design of the hotel room makes it feel spacious and comfortable.
Breakfast is relatively simple with not much choice but that does not bother us since Split has many great restaurants out there waiting for us.
Overall, I am satisfied with this stay and would recommend this hotel since it is clean and beautiful.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in an incredible location, at an incredible price. The room and building were very clean with great facilities, though some of the room furniture, like the desk chair, could use a bit of a refurbishment. This however for most travelers will be no issue as you will want to be out and about exploring the city and using the room as just a home base. I will absolutely come and stay again, and thoroughly enjoyed my time in Split and my stay at Slavija. It can be a bit hard to find to those new to the winding streets, but the location is perfect for an unforgettable trip. Thanks to the staff at the Slavija for an incredible stay!
GGuest UserWe stayed for a week in early October, and had a great time. First of all, the reception staff were really good - friendly, helpful, seemed genuinely interested in what we were doing, and if they could help etc. Excellent. We were on floor 3 (room 2) which meant we had a great view over the roofs with the sea in the distance. The balcony was small but big enough for a couple of seats and a table, and it had the sun from dawn until dusk. The room itself was nice - really large bed, and as it was a fairly big room, plenty of space for two people to walk around and not get in each others way! Fridge and safe were both included at no extra charge. Breakfast was nice - plenty to fill us up and serving until 11am meant there was no rush. Location wise, we found it ideal. Being in the old city would be nice, but this is only a short walk away (20 mins?) and could be either along the beach (paved path the whole way) or was a simple straight road down through the town. We did get a few Ubers which cost 5.50 each way. We're happy as long as we're in easy reach of the action. The beaches are a 5-10 minutes walk - depending on your preference for sand/pebbles/rocks, you can just walk along the path until you find a spot you like as there's a bit of everything. Shops and bars along the seafront too, so that's good if you need anything. The swimming pool area was quiet and relaxing - plenty of sun during the day, and although the pool itself was cold, it was really nice once you're in! Although it's only a few minutes walk to quite lively shops/cafes/bars, the hotel was just off a quiet street and felt really calm considering how close everything was. Overall we were really pleased with our choice, no complaints at all (we did have a noisy air con unit outside on the wall, but this was sorted the same day as we mentioned it - again, great work from the staff!) If we find ourselves in Split again, then I would be more than happy to stay here!
GGuest UserWe had a lovely four-night stay at this hotel, tucked away in the Diocletian Palace. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The included breakfast was very good indeed. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed we’ve had anywhere, and we’ve tried a fair few! We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and hopefully we’ll be back!
WWDavidThe Hotel is nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. I enjoyed the homey atmosphere.
However, there are a few things one should be aware of before booking: The hotel is in the historic district just about 5 min walk west from the Prominade area. Taxis cannot drive in, so it is necessary to walk in with one's baggage. Also, any excursions will start with a walk out of the area to the main taxi stand. Navigating the area can be a challenge the first couple of times; one MUST have the ability to use their maps app. T-mobile - America has an international plan that give you up to 2G speed unlimited data and texting, but I highly recommend getting a local sim card. Look at the map of the city before choosing this hotel. There are a lot of nice restaurants within 2-5 minutes walking. Furthermore, the office closes from 11pm till 7am. Most importantly, they DO NOT take credit cards. IF you did not pay for the room online, you will need local cash, and you will need it to pay the taxes on the room, and for a taxi if you booked it through the hotel. Cash only. (They do have a zelle option, but I could not get it to work. I recommend cash. Speaking of cash, one should get it from an actual bank ATM as the rates 11% vs the 22-25% some private ATMs charge.)
I give the hotel 4 of 5 for comfort, 5/5 for cleanliness, 3 or 5 for location.
I'd give this hotel
GGuest UserThe hotel is located on the third floor of a small shopping mall to the east of the ancient city wall. It is easy to find and the location is very convenient. It is a 2-minute walk to the ancient city. Although it is a small hotel similar to a bed and breakfast, the room layout facilities are basically complete, clean, and the size is reasonable. There is only one person in charge at the front desk, who is very serious and responsible, and answers all questions. There are not many hotels in Priest, so I highly recommend this hotel in terms of cost performance.
