This hotel is pretty nice. It needs some minor maintenance in a few places, but overall it is good. The room was clean and maintained. The pool area has two hot tubs, which was nice since we were in St. George when it was cold, which is rare.
One thing I can't understand is why hotels like this insist on having all of their TVs in public spaces tuned 24/7 to Fox News. Do they want all people to feel welcome in their hotel, or just some people? We were at the hotel for four days and the TVs in the public spaces were on Fox News, with the volume up, the entire time. For the record, I don't think it would be better if the TVs were on CNN or MSNBC. The never-ending negative news is tiresome. Can't we watch something else, or nothing at all? That would be better, and more welcoming to all guests.
St. George is the gateway to some of the most remarkable and beautiful places on Earth. Maybe just make a 30 or 60 minute video highlighting all the great things about southern Utah and just play that on a loop on the public TVs. That would be way better than nonstop partisan news.
