We arrived on a dark rainy night and it was so nice to reach this haven off the beaten track. The pub is very traditional and we were welcomed with a cosy log fire beside our table. The menu is really interesting going from pub food to haute cuisine. I enjoyed a local beer whilst reading the menu and decided on the miso cod fillet -it was absolutely delicious . Then I was intrigued by the liquorice cheesecake which was excellent - it was served with tiny sweetened baby beetroot! Very good friendly service made for a lovely meal. Then we retired to our family room for the night. The room had a mezzanine where our daughter slept. The rooms are in a tastefully converted barn and are very well appointed and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds meant a good night's sleep. We had chosen our breakfast the evening before and it was delivered to our room in a little picnic basket. Good pastries , ham, cheese and coffee. Would definitely stay here again. £279 for three people dinner, drinks ,bed &breakfast

We settled our final bill with the Plough Inn the morning we left for Heathrow to return to the US. We gave the clerk 150 pounds cash to avoid bringing them home and the rest was to be charged to my credit card. I checked my card balance only to find the full amount of the bill did not include the 150 pounds. My efforts to contact the Plough Inn to correct the mistake has only met with silence. I do not recommend staying at the Plough Inn for any reason as result.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay here as part of a walking weekend. We were really impressed. The rooms are extremely comfortable and a great deal of care and attention to detail has gone into making them so special. Spotlessly clean, with lots of space and a lovely outlook onto the Kent countryside. Breakfast was delicious, and dinner too very good, though not cheap. And our 2 dogs were made very welcome too. Highly recommended, thank you!

We had a great stay here. The suite is stunning, very peaceful and incredibly clean. They are very accommodating for dogs. We had a lovely meal in the pub, great quality burger. Breakfast in the suite is a lovely touch, and the staff are all so friendly.

Although I did a 3 rating, which I felt fair. I received a call to express concern with the bad experience. I was told we should have got more than one piece of lamb, should not have been charged for the extra gravy and sincere apologies. I was very impressed and feel I would like to treat my disappointing visit as a blip and would go again

My son and I stayed here for one night in February. The rooms are located in a converted barn just behind the pub. The bedroom (which they arranged as a twin for us) is downstairs along with a bathroom (walk-in shower and bath and excellent towels), and upstairs is a small lounge with sofa, TV and a table/chairs (there is also a TV downstairs). In the morning they bring you a breakfast hamper and set it out on the upstairs table (my son said it was the best egg roll he had ever had). The room was spotlessly clean and in perfect condition and the furnishings were all of a high quality. It felt very luxurious and also very peaceful - there is no noise at night at all. We ate at the pub in the evening - excellent food and really lovely service by the lady behind the bar. Good beers on tap and the old interior of the pub means the bar and dining area have a great atmosphere. The pub is located quite centrally in Kent with easy access to nearly the whole county. Highly recommend staying here

We spent two nights at this delightful pub/restaurant in the lovely Kent countryside. The experience was wonderful with the food exceeding expectations, great local ales and welcoming staff. The accommodation was well presented and very comfortable. Our 2 year old Labrador fell in love with Baxter and we were all sad to leave.

We booked a one night stay at the Plough while visiting Kent and loved everything about it. Yes, there are some winding lanes to get there but it is definitely worth the trip. The pub is definitely steeped in tradition and the food is fabulous. There is a traditional style menu and a generous choice on the specials board which we dined from. Our food was delicious and imaginitive and service by Ruby and Josie made our evening perfect. The split level rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. Breakfast is ordered the previous night and delivered at your chosen time in the morning (by the lovely Marianne) and taken at the table in the upstairs sitting room. A thoroughly enjoyable stay!

Back for our third visit and we can’t rate The Plough Inn enough. A lovely warm welcome as always and the facilities are amazing! The room was heaven sent and I loved the added bonus of the bath robes this time around. Our son has allergies to wheat and nuts so it is always a worry when we eat out/stay at a hotel. Again we were able to put our trust in Richard and Marianne as Harry could enjoy his dinner without stress. The breakfast was excellent too! Our son also loved the new play park area which is a new addition. Thank you!
