Very Good
SSuianbohutong7haoThis hotel offers great value for money, especially given its prime location in such an expensive area. It's also quite clean and even provides UK plug adapters, making it ideal for young backpackers with small luggage. However, if you have two or more large suitcases, or if you're over 1.8 meters tall, you might want to reconsider as the room is quite small. I had one large suitcase and felt a bit cramped by myself. Objectively speaking, I doubt you'd find a better option at the same price point in Hong Kong. The staff were also friendly and helpful towards mainland Chinese guests. Ultimately, it really depends on whether it suits your specific needs.

FFiophieThis family room is quite spacious, with two large beds that can easily accommodate four people. It comes with two bathrooms, which is perfect for families with two kids. The French windows open up to a small courtyard, offering fresh air and a comfortable spot to relax after the kids are asleep. The hotel is nestled within a park that kids love, and it's right by the beach. Our children were entertained all day without even leaving the hotel grounds. At night, the entrance twinkles with star-like lights, making it lovely for both kids and romantic getaways. Initially, I was concerned about transportation, but it turns out the hotel has direct elevator access to a bus stop with routes to Hong Kong, Kowloon, and the airport, which is super convenient. There's also a taxi stand right next to the bus stop. The ferry terminal is a 15-minute walk away, but you do need to check the schedule as departures aren't constant. A special thanks to the hotel front desk! My child left their backpack on a waiting chair while boarding the airport shuttle. After contacting the front desk from the airport, they helped us by calling park control and locating the backpack for us!

AAnonymous UserTsim Sha Tsui is still great for shopping and eating. There's a Mannings right by the MTR station for shopping, and a Kam Sau Tong Dynasty where you can buy fridge magnets and toy cars (cheaper and with more variety than other places). I even found a Mister Softee ice cream truck here (I missed it at the Ferris wheel because the line was too long). For food, there's Wah Sao Cafe (always super crowded), but I ended up at Kowloon Restaurant, which was delicious, affordable, and a great value. The rooms here are generally small, with a 1.5-meter bed and not much extra space. It's manageable for one or two people. Card access to the upper floors feels quite secure. They provide wooden toothbrushes, a kettle, and disposable slippers (they're thin, not as good as those in hotels back home). You'll need to bring your own toiletries as nothing else is provided. On the upside, it's clean, close to the MTR, and safe. Overall, it's decent and worth considering if you don't have super high expectations. Oh, and out of the three hotels I stayed at, this was the only one that required a HKD 500 cash deposit (or credit card). I only had HKD 400, so they accepted that, and it was promptly refunded upon check-out. All in all, it's above average and much better than many other options. If you're a solo traveler or a couple who doesn't mind a small space, it's a good choice.

GGuest UserThis place is decent. The hygiene is pretty good, though the room is a bit small. That's understandable given that space is at a premium on Hong Kong Island. The price was great during the off-season, especially with fewer people around due to the typhoon. The guy at the front desk was very enthusiastic. It was drizzling all day, and because of the typhoon, the MTR to Hong Kong Island was temporarily shut down. I tried to hail a Didi for ages in the morning; taxis didn't want to go out because of the typhoon, and Didi drivers were price gouging, asking for HKD 300 or even HKD 500. Some even accepted the order but never showed up and didn't cancel. It wasn't even that far. Finally, an uncle accepted the order and showed up in the rain, and he didn't even charge extra! I couldn't believe it, he was a truly honest person. The wind and rain weren't even that bad, and there were few cars on the road. I chatted with the driver; he spoke Cantonese, and we spoke Mandarin, but we could mostly understand each other. Older people are often more down-to-earth. The driver was over 50, born in Hong Kong, with ancestral roots in Guangdong. His daughter is still young. It's not easy for men to provide for their families. We arrived at the hotel quickly, and the fare was HKD 123. We gave the driver a 10 RMB note as a tip to thank him.

GGuest UserTwenty years ago, when I first visited Hong Kong on a tour, I stayed at the Rambler Garden Hotel next door. Back then, this entire complex had just opened, and this area wasn't even on my Hong Kong friend's new map. From my room, I could see the Stonecutters Bridge under construction and the container terminal below. Back then, we had bulky CRT TVs on the windowsills; now, there are flat-screen TVs mounted on the walls. The hotel is very clean, and housekeeping is prompt and thorough. The room is quite small, which is typical for Hong Kong. The wardrobe and other furniture haven't been replaced in twenty years, and some pieces are showing wear and tear. The mini-fridge, which used to be under the wardrobe, is now on the windowsill. The nightstand, previously between the two beds, has been moved to the side closer to the bathroom. Some of the worn areas definitely need timely repairs. Tsing Yi is a relatively secluded island, and as one of only two hotels here, transportation relies on minibuses 88F and 88G plus the MTR, which is reasonably convenient. Because of its somewhat remote location, the big advantage is the excellent value for money. For the same price, hotels in areas like Jordan or Central would be even smaller and lack any cabinets or chairs. WeChat Pay and Alipay are widely accepted in many places, though a few smaller shops still hold out, accepting only cash. All three meals can be had at the Café de Coral restaurant on L1. There's also a convenient ParknShop supermarket where you can top up your Octopus card at the checkout. On L1, you'll also find a Bank of China (Hong Kong) ATM. You can withdraw Hong Kong dollars directly using any UnionPay debit card; it automatically converts the currency, and I found the exchange rate to be quite good at 0.88. There's a flat fee of HK$10 per transaction. Twenty years ago, the hotel used to sell Disneyland tickets. Now, it's so easy to buy tickets online via mobile, so that service is no longer offered. That's all I can think of for now. Time to rest.

AAprilcykThe hotel is conveniently located 5 mins from Jordan MTR station and there's a bus station just across the street with route A21 which goes straight to the airport. Room is small just like all other hotels in Hong Kong, but it is just right for me as I am travelling alone. Improvement on the ventilation is needed, there's a musty smell when I enter the room, fortunately there's no mold in the bathroom. Disposable one-time towel and face towel is provided, toothbrush and comb too. Fragrance for the shower gel and shampoo is kind of masculine but acceptable. No water bottle provided. However, I am not sure whether because the weather is turning cold so they controlled the air-conditioning centrally, it is quite warm whenever I enter the room, the room temperature is always at 22°C even I tried to set it at 16°C. But I feel cold after settling down abit, not much of a major issue. Walking distance to my favourite Char Can Teng - Australia Dairy Company, and also the Michelin dessert shop - Kai Kai dessert. Would consider coming back for my next stay.

11368127****First, the good points: 1. **Affordable:** Located in a bustling shopping, dining, and tourist hub, the price is arguably its biggest draw. 2. **Excellent Service:** The male front desk staff were incredibly accommodating and responsive to every request. They even extended my 11 AM check-out to 12 PM. 3. **Location:** This hotel boasts a prime location in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. You can walk to all the best dining, entertainment, and shopping spots. It's also a fantastic place to stay for the Hong Kong Marathon, with direct access to the race course right outside. 4. **Transportation:** All kinds of transport options are readily available, with bus stops and subway stations scattered everywhere. 5. **Dining:** The hotel is surrounded by an abundance of food choices. 6. **Hot Water:** The hot water for showering was excellent. 7. **WiFi:** Free and no password required, with a very smooth connection. Now, the downsides: 1. **Outdated Facilities:** The facilities are old, reminiscent of a mainland guesthouse from 30 years ago. 2. **Average Cleanliness:** I stayed for two nights. On the first morning, I put out the 'please clean' sign, but the room wasn't tidied. The room, wardrobe, walls, and bathroom were all just so-so. If you're on your honeymoon with your wife, definitely don't book this place, or you'll be divorced when you get home! If you just need a place to sleep at night, it's tolerable. However, the lobby environment is quite decent. 3. **Loud Central Air Conditioning Noise:** Even when I didn't have the AC on during my stay, there was a lot of noise, likely from other rooms' AC units coming through the vents. Remember to bring earplugs for sleeping; otherwise, you'll definitely suffer from insomnia. 4. **Television:** The TV is tiny; I doubt you'd find TVs like this on the mainland anymore. The remote control was still sealed in plastic and didn't even have batteries. However, the internet was good, so I just used my phone and didn't need to watch TV anyway. Incidentally, Chungking Mansions is right next door. If you stay here, it's a good opportunity to re-watch Wong Kar-wai's 'Chungking Express.' The surrounding bustling area can be crowded and chaotic, with many transient people, so be mindful of your personal belongings and safety! That said, overall public safety in Hong Kong is quite good. This review is based solely on my experience in a double room. I can't comment on other rooms.
