GGuest UserAs with the other reviews, the service here is amazing. You have the option to have your breakfast delivered to your room. During check-in, the staff will personally bring you to your room. If you arrived early or plan to leave sun moon lake much later after check out, you can leave your bags or luggage to the staff to keep. Staff here also offers tickets to the ferry, bicycle rental, cable car and other services available. The only con is that there is no lakeview, but everything else is very accessible. Bus station, Ferry station, 7-11 and restaurants are just a few minutes walk from the hotel. As for the room itself, the toilet is equipped with bidet. There's also some snacks and teabags for you. Electric mosquito repellent is also available if there's a need to, but I did not encounter any bugs in the room. Room is also modernly designed and most importantly, clean and bugs-free! Bed is of soft and comfortable type. I nearly dozed off while lying on bed. Wifi's strong as well. Would highly recommend to others who plans to visit sun moon lake. This hotel has almost everything you need, convenience, amazing service, and good food.

GGuest UserGreat hostel right in the main streets of ita Thao. The bus stop is just up the road and there is shops and small restaurants right outside. The staff were lovely and very helpful- always smiling and greeting us as we passed. The capsule was spacious for a double bed capsule with space to leave some belongings beside the bed. It had good A/C, was very clean and even has a small window which was nice. The bed was comfortable and it was secure with the key card lock. The dorms were nice and quiet. The floor had a lovely bathroom with good shower facilities. Lockers were big and fit all our backpacks. Also has a nice lounging area on the floor as well. The rooftop area seemed lovely if the weather allowed. Washing machines and driers were old and didn’t dry our clothes properly so maybe use the launderette in the town instead. The kitchen area was clean and spacious and has a massive tv. Little extras such as umbrellas outside, slippers for the room and the music area are an added bonus. Would definitely recommend staying here for your trip to sun moon lake. It is modern and great value for money for a hostel.

The building materials are quite good. The interior decoration is definitely 5-star quality. Most of the main equipment is made in China, and the quality is very high standard. The bidet toilet (JOMOW), shower facilities, audio system (Edifier M230), and room power control device, though made in China, are all of impeccable quality. Overall, about 80-90% of the room's building materials are from China, which shows that Chinese building materials still have a certain level of competitiveness. The stay offered a comfort level of 9.9/10! Occasionally, there are sheep grazing on the hillside below. Hotpot is available for dinner, and there are live singers on weekends, which creates a great atmosphere. Breakfast is Chinese style, with congee served with various Chinese breakfast items, toast, fruit, eggs, and high-mountain cabbage. Beverages include coffee, soy milk, and red bean milk, among others (no Western breakfast options). It's understandable that there might be some common insects and flies in the dining area.

GGuest UserChatting with the friendly housekeeper, I learned that this hotel shares the same owner as The Old England Manor. The hotel has been open for over 30 years, and its interior decor has a distinct British style. The rooms are predominantly wood-built, showing their age, but the environment is clean and the beds are comfortable. They offer a late-night snack service at 8 PM, with delicious and generous portions that you can even ask for more of, plus a whole cabinet of instant noodles to choose from. Breakfast is also plentiful. The main highlight, however, is the human touch. I admire how, despite current widespread criticism of domestic tourism standards, there are still enthusiastic establishments like this one that persist in providing such great value for money services. I will definitely visit again.

GGuest UserThe location is great! Just a 3-minute walk from the exit, you'll find a bus stop/trailhead, which is perfect for those traveling by public transport. The breakfast was fantastic, I really enjoyed it! It's more on the Chinese side, and all the dishes were delicious. They also had simple salads and toast. No air conditioning in the room was acceptable (they did mention it upon check-in), and the heater in the bathroom was a nice touch. However, the hot water was extremely, extremely hot and unstable; I couldn't find a comfortable temperature. The soundproofing in the room was really poor. Several times, I was startled by the sound of the next-door neighbor opening their wardrobe. And just a personal preference, I found the pillows to be quite high.

WWendy011The hotel is super close to 7-Eleven and also very near Cingjing Farm. The balcony is amazing, with a rocking chair and lots of cats! They are super cute! Breakfast was delicious, and the room was incredibly warm – not cold at all, even during a cold snap. Overall, it's very clean, except for a slight leak in the bathroom faucet. Highly recommend it! I'd love to stay here again next time.

MmelonalOverall, the accommodation was quite clean. The location is conveniently close to the Shueishe Visitor Center, an easy walk, though it's a slight downhill stroll. The atmosphere is lovely, and the lake view is beautiful. It would probably be even better if I had a higher floor room (I was on the second floor). However, I'm not sure if the balcony door couldn't be locked or if I just couldn't find the lock, which made me feel a bit uneasy, especially traveling alone. Also, the guests next door were talking very loudly on their balcony, and I could hear them clearly inside my room.

GGuest UserThe reception can speak English well, they provide pre and post check in baggage storage. The hotel location is really good, not far from bus terminal and convenienct to travel around. Next to the hotel, there are boat service, restaurants, bicycle shop. The room is a bit old but complete amenities and towels. The balcony provides spectacular view of the lake. Worth the value!

GGuest UserEverything was okay, hostel was a little bit far from the bus stop but nevertheless still a good location. Breakfast was not for us because we are used to having heavy breakfast meals and vegetables and a sandwich isn't enough for our big appetite. I would certainly recommend the hotel and be back to stay longer.

GGuest UserThe hotel is considerably cheaper than others in the area with similar-looking rooms and it is brilliantly-located right at the lakefront and only 2 minutes away from the bus terminal. The staff is very friendly and you even get a discount voucher for the nearby bike rental. I booked a room without a window and got one with two windows which is absolutely appreciated. I even had a very large bathroom with a gorgeous and huge bathtub which was an unexpected luxury. Overall the room is clean and comfortable. The AC works perfectly, the bed is comfortable enough for a few days, and the the linen and towels were fresh. The interior is dated which didn't bother me me much because it was still as clean as dated interior can get and therefore definitely clean enough for me and for most travellers. I actually kinda liked the old charme. The walls are thin, though it doesn't matter so much because there aren't many rooms per floor. The breakfast was surprisingly nice and located in another hotel right at the lakefront so that you have stunning views!
