Great
FFussy BeeThe greater the hope, the greater the disappointment. Let's talk about the good things about this hotel first. The sanitation of the room and corridor is good, the taste of the breakfast is also OK, and the location of the hotel is good. The USS Midway aircraft carrier is not far from the window. But for some reason, there is always a harsh and annoying sound outside the window. At first, we thought it was the sound of some electrical appliances. After a while, we realized that it might be due to the design of the building itself. The noise caused by the wind outside the high-rise window. This continuous noise seriously affected our rest. Another thing we are not satisfied with is the design and layout of the room. We live in a corner king-size bed room. The room area is very small. The sofa and TV are placed not far from the entrance of the room. The air conditioner is facing the sofa, and the cold wind blows directly at people. The design is very unreasonable. The bathroom is large, but the strange thing is that the washbasin is designed to be very narrow and the shower area is not large enough. It is almost difficult for tall guests to move and turn around in it. In addition, the frosted large glass window in the bathroom is too transparent, and a movable curtain should be installed to block the light. The last thing that made us unhappy with this hotel was that they charged $12 per package for storage. This is unheard of and simply incomprehensible.

2210020****This hotel offers excellent value for money. The rooms are spacious and spotless, equipped with everything you need: a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and hairdryer. Parking is free and there are plenty of spots available. The breakfast is quite standard, but overall, it lives up to the Marriott name. Highly recommended!

DDarkdougThe hotel's greatest asset is its superb location. La Jolla, an affluent San Diego neighborhood, is a bit removed from downtown but offers a safer, cleaner environment. It's conveniently close to UCSD and La Jolla Beach, boasting picturesque views and fewer crowds. Directly across from the hotel, a massive dining and shopping complex provides every amenity for entertainment and culinary pursuits. The hotel itself feels a bit dated, with room amenities appearing about two decades old. However, the rooms are quite spacious. Our family room was configured much like a one-bedroom apartment, featuring a separate door that allowed for complete privacy, which was a definite plus. The room was well-equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker, making it ideal for family stays. While the hotel is large and frequently busy with numerous guests, which can lead to some noise, and the breakfast area often gets packed, it does offer a very convenient on-site parking garage.

The hotel room is very old. The location and environment are very good. However, after the departure, the authorization deposit was deducted for more than 28 US dollars. No one mentioned it, including Ctrip and the hotel front desk. I don't know why the previous comments didn't mention Everyone should pay attention to when considering hotels.

__TS***MKHotel located in Little Italy. Very close to the restaurants and a walkable distance to bus and trolley stations. Room is small but clean. Has a hair dryer and iron. Did not seem to have room service included but it didn't bother me as I was only there for a short stay. In general a great place for a solo traveller to stay for a short time.

GGuest UserThe hotel has a simple and clean environment, but the breakfast is too simple and feels too shabby. The overall service is acceptable, but the location is excellent and it is very convenient for sightseeing.

GGuest UserHotels in the hotel circle are generally good, with great competition. They are comfortable to stay in, have large swimming pools, and friendly service staff. It only takes 5 or 8 minutes to drive out to buy food, and it is also convenient to go to tourist attractions.

AAllgo𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱. I stayed there for 2 weeks, working from home during the day, going out at night. Pros: - excellent value for the comfort and amenities at under $65/night - great desk & comfortable chair for laptop work - nice modern Philips large-screen TV you can connect to via HDMI - the Internet was ok (~10Mbps) but disconnected daily (reconnecting the WiFi restored it) - pretty quiet considering the proximity to the freeway: just white noise, haven't heard any revving or sirens - walls don't provide much sound insulation but I've heard only ONE neighbor conversation during my 2-week stay. It did help that I chose a room on the top floor, and next to the janitorial room (#522) - the wall-mounted A/C was surprisingly quiet, and heating worked fast - ventilation was okay if you keep the window open about 1ft - only saw 3 flying insects, and a crawling one in the shower - clean room, only found a few hair strands in the shower - mini-fridge was quiet and held a week's worth of food - great use of space: 4 large drawers, rack with clothes hangers, space for suitcases to be out of the way, 2 mirrors - the staff was very kind of provide a microwave, can opener, paper plates - pool was clean - two hot tubs were great, and MUCH cleaner than my friend's who stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott next door - coin-operated laundry on site ($2.50 + $2.50 W/D, $1.50 laundry soap) - nice landscaping and you could smell eucalyptus trees Neutral: - the pool/hot tub area closed at 10pm - there's nothing to do in the walkable area (just other hotels), but North Park is only a $10 Uber ride away, and the Fashion Mall is right across the freeway - construction in front of the lobby should be finished by the end of 2025 Cons: - gym was tiny and lacking: only 3 cardio machines (one elliptical that felt awkward) and one cable stations with fixed cable points; no free weights, towels, or watercooler cups
