Good
AAnonymous UserThis hotel's location is undoubtedly one of its biggest selling points. It's just a few minutes' walk from Wan Chai MTR station, making it incredibly convenient to get to Central, Causeway Bay, or even the Golden Bauhinia Square (where you'll find the famous mobile soft-serve ice cream truck). Right behind the hotel is the well-known Lee Tung Avenue (aka 'Wedding Card Street'), and next door is a larger, more retro Kee Wah Bakery, along with many other unique specialty shops. The surrounding area offers a fantastic array of dining options, from local snacks to upscale restaurants, so you'll always find something to your taste. The service also left a deep impression. From the front desk to room service, the staff consistently showed patience and attentiveness, creating a warm and genuinely welcoming atmosphere. Even during busy periods, they maintained an excellent standard of service, which made the stay even more pleasant. While the elevators are a bit small and you might have a short wait during peak hours, it didn't significantly impact the overall experience. The breakfast area isn't large, and seating is limited, but the quality of the food makes up for it. Although the variety isn't extensive, every dish is executed very well. The dim sum, in particular, is on par with what you'd find in a good local teahouse. The sticky rice chicken was soft and flavorful, the lava custard buns were perfectly balanced in sweetness and saltiness with a rich flowing filling, and the steamed dumplings had thin skins and generous fillings – definitely worth trying. The coffee was also a pleasant surprise; the latte's milk foam was wonderfully creamy and smooth, and the Americano was clean-tasting with no acidity, making it a perfect pick-me-up at breakfast. The check-in process was very smooth, with no deposit required, which saved a lot of hassle. Drinking water and toiletries were already prepared in the room beforehand, showing thoughtful attention to detail. Overall, this stay was a delightful experience, offering both the convenience of its location and the satisfaction of excellent service and food.

GGuest UserIt offers the luxury quality you'd expect from a Mid-levels residence, and we even got a room upgrade! It's right next to the Zoological and Botanical Gardens, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Just a heads-up, the walk downhill requires a bit of stamina, but it's very close to Queen's Road.

AAnonymous UserI had a great stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient, as it is close to the bus stop for both arrival and departure, which made traveling with luggage much easier. The room matched the description perfectly — clean, modern, and nicely designed. Even though the room is small, the space is well organized and comfortable. All basic amenities were provided, including a hairdryer, towels, toothbrush, soap, shampoo, and an electric kettle. One highlight was the water purifier in the room, which helped me save a lot on bottled water. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and felt it was great value for money. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent. There are dim sum and dinner places right downstairs, which was convenient for me. Turn left when you exit and you'll find a tram stop, and the MTR station is about a seven or eight-minute walk away. The hotel service was also great, and the room size was decent, especially considering how valuable space is in Hong Kong. The only downside was that the room was extremely damp; it felt clammy even after sleeping for a while. Also, the room I was assigned was next to the elevator shaft, so I heard the elevator going up and down all night.

AAnonymous UserThis was my first time staying at the South Nest and I thought it was great, and easy to find. Of course, getting five-star service in Hong Kong at this price point is impossible, but I think this hotel offers excellent value for money in Hong Kong. Plus, many buses go directly to Central.

GGuest UserThe hotel itself is located in a relatively quiet corner of the TST hot spot near the ISquare/Harbour City, it is relatively hard to miss the impressive front door of the black marble looking exteriors. Check-in is Very smooth, cash deposit are required but easily done. For the first time staying of this hotel i’ve requested a higher level room and a quiet corner, which happens to be 11th (top level except roof common area). Room is as advertised ,very spacious and clean looking (typical wear and tears of material aging is expected but doesn’t looks gross). for visitors that enjoys their own balcony view it is better to ask ahead if the room assigned has it, for me although it was a room that didn’t which is fine, but the eye catch is the toilet - bath tub and the shower is separated which allows flexibility for both type of bath time enjoyers too, those whom need longer stays and/or like taking long bath in a tub will enjoy the big tubs, but the overhead ceiling shower is just as great for morning refreshers. bed had its own smaller TV screen with wall mounted extend arms for lazy watching which is great if you’re relaxing while enjoying the Victoria harbour view from the window, but also a living room bigger tv , although the downside is sometimes the remote will controls both units at the same time, so nighttime tv bingeing becareful of volume bursts from a different tv. room air conditioning is room self-controlled - the panel is right next to the main TV so for travelers that is sensitive to temperature differences is a plus, as you don’t have to worry centralized air con streaming cold airs in cooler days or during sleep, you had the control at your own hand. only things that may be worth considering is that the room is wood tiled - occasional cracks from old tiles misaligned can occur when you step on it so if your roommates are light sleepers and prone to awakening from noises, that could be a problem. also while unfortunate as it is during festive times and beyond hotel controls, noise can be excessive if there neighboring room(s) are booked by party goers or occupants had returned drunk. as the hall noise is very auditable. security is standard where after 6pm it requires your room keycards to access lifts and the hotel doors as well. A small but noteworthy point is the gym at 6th floor and their rooftops- technically on the 12th floor, the roof is a fairly open area with a limited but still great view of the Victoria harbour amidst the neibouring buildings that is 2-3 rows away from the harbour side. while not certain is it remained open overnight as long as accessing with keycards, it is great for the city view. however not recommended for people with Fear of heights- as glass barriers are only to waist levels that can be easily lean over. also the rooftops lift indicator is not as visible/auditable while waiting for it arrivals, so if the single lift that can reach the rooftop is out of services it may become unavailable , or if unlucky you might be locked out. overall it is a surprisingly fair price but great accommodation choices, while noise concerns can be servere if you happen to be unlucky when other floor occupants go berserk, but surrounding areas noise is not intense even it is next to Kowloon Park Drive intersection ramp just 1 block away.

AAnonymous UserHotels in Hong Kong are generally like this; you can't expect too much. However, what sets this one apart is the 24-hour coffee service. Some say it's not great, but just having a place where you can always get a hot coffee and relax is a huge plus. In the morning, there are even more coffee options and a variety of bread. While simple, these little touches, including the breakfast service staff, all come at a cost. It's truly rare and commendable that the hotel maintains this standard.

GGuest UserI was a bit hesitant after reading some reviews, but to my surprise, the service and room cleanliness were excellent! For a place like Hong Kong, the price was perfectly acceptable. The front desk staff were very helpful during check-in, answering all my questions, and the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly when I checked out. The hotel bus driver was also very welcoming. The room was a suite, so it didn't feel cramped at all for a family. Even the cleaning lady was very enthusiastic. Highly recommended!

AAnonymous UserFacilities: The room was small but had everything I needed, making me feel very secure! I really liked it. Hygiene: Very clean, satisfied. Environment: The hotel's interior is beautifully decorated, and there's a lounge area next to the front desk where you can enjoy free coffee. It's also a very quick walk to Prince Edward MTR station. Service: The service was excellent, not at all unfriendly towards guests as some negative reviews claimed. I was a bit worried after seeing those bad reviews before coming, but it turns out the front desk staff were very nice and patient.
