The room was quite spacious and clean, and came equipped with an ironing board and hairdryer. The TV screen was also large. The bed felt soft when pressed, but was actually quite comfortable to sleep on. The pillows were just right, and I woke up without any back pain or discomfort, which was a huge plus. There's a shuttle service to the airport every 20 minutes or so, and it runs 24 hours, which is really convenient. You can hear planes taking off and landing, but that's to be expected when you're near an airport. The noise was acceptable and didn't bother me at all.

Got a room on the 4th floor, and it was really quiet, aside from the normal AC hum. The beds, like most abroad, are soft, so if you're used to a firm mattress, you'll need to adjust. The hotel's free round-trip shuttle bus is super convenient. Nearby, you can check out In-N-Out for some cool Instagram shots with planes, and the burgers are good value, but don't expect gourmet taste. I paid a $200 credit card deposit at check-in, so I'll be keeping an eye on whether the refund goes smoothly.

The Sonesta Los Angeles Airport is a fantastic choice for an easy stay near LAX. Location: Excellent—less than a mile from LAX with frequent, free 24/7 shuttle service. Rooms: Recently renovated, quiet (great soundproofing), and very comfortable. Amenities: Multiple dining options, friendly staff, and a heated outdoor pool. Highly recommended for a reliable and comfortable airport stopover.

Convenient option for a layover, with a hotel shuttle to the airport that takes about 10 minutes and runs every 15–20 minutes. The gym is well-equipped, and it’s also about a 10 minute walk to the car rental facilities across the street. That said, water isn’t provided in the room unless requested at the counter, and overall the facilities felt a bit underwhelming for the price paid. Still, a solid choice for short stays due to the location.

Our family of three stayed for four days and were quite satisfied. The room was very spacious, and the two double beds were large enough. American hotels generally don't have kettles, so the portable one we brought was very useful. We had to ask the front desk daily for bottled water, and they'd give us two bottles. The hotel's location is excellent; it's convenient for getting around with a subway station nearby. Little Tokyo has Japanese supermarkets where you can buy plenty of food and drinks. Angel's Flight, City Hall, the art museum, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Grand Central Market, and The Last Bookstore are all within walking distance.

Disappointing stay - great staff, but the room was a letdown.  While the lobby and valet staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the rest of the experience was far from satisfactory. Throughout my stay, the main elevators were rarely functional, forcing us to use a smelly service elevator on multiple days. The room itself was poorly designed and maintained. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, and the layout made it impossible to watch TV from the bed. Lighting was dim, and the lack of a vanity - combined with a bathroom mirror that had poor lighting - made getting ready very difficult. To make matters worse, the bathroom was not properly cleaned, as we found hair from previous guests around the tub. Additionally, the tub lacked a handrail, making it difficult to get in and out safely.  Lastly, despite booking a breakfast-inclusive rate, we were still charged an 18% tax. Honestly, we would have been better off going to McDonald’s. Despite the great service from the staff, the facility issues mean I wouldn’t stay here again, even for free.

While the overall cleanliness of the room was satisfactory, there were two primary concerns: * **Odor:** Upon arrival, there was a **pervasive chemical scent** in the room, likely due to recent heavy-duty cleaning agents. * **Flooring:** The **carpeted areas felt somewhat sticky** to the touch, which detracted from the otherwise well-maintained space. --- ### **Facilities & Maintenance** * **Acoustics:** Prospective guests should note that the **bathroom plumbing was quite audible** and disruptive during the peak evening hours of 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. * **Parking:** On-site parking is limited exclusively to **valet service**, so please factor this into your travel budget and timing. --- ### **Conclusion** This property serves as a functional and spacious base for travelers prioritizing airport access and a comfortable bed. However, improvements to the flooring maintenance and plumbing acoustics would greatly enhance the guest experience.

Great location and food options nearby, but security needs improvement The location was one of the highlights of our stay. The hotel is close to Chinatown and surrounded by many Chinese restaurants, bubble tea shops, and Asian food options. There were plenty of dining choices within walking distance, including a Sichuan-style fish restaurant, which made meals very convenient. The room itself was comfortable, and the staff we interacted with were friendly. However, we noticed a security issue that should be addressed. Anyone can take the elevator to the second floor, where the guest rooms are located. Access to the guest room corridor is supposed to require a key card, but during our stay the access door was not functioning properly. Even without using a key card, the door could simply be pushed open, making the access control system ineffective. This meant that anyone who reached the second floor could potentially enter the guest room area. While nothing happened during our stay, it did make us feel less secure than expected. We also noticed small red marks on one of the towels provided in the room. We could not determine whether it was a stain, discoloration, or something else, but it was noticeable enough that we chose not to use that towel. Overall, the location and nearby food options were excellent, but the security concern was disappointing and should be addressed as a priority. Security is an important factor when choosing accommodation, and I hope the hotel will inspect and repair the access door promptly.

The hotel is located in downtown LA, which isn’t the most desirable part of the city. Cleanliness met expectations, but the service and attitude of staff left room for improvement. You can avoid paying onsite valet parking,there’s a self-parking garage next door for $40 per night. No good breakfast nearby.

This hotel was everything I expected! It's on par with the star-rated Hyatt hotels in China. Many brand-name hotels in the US have mediocre facilities and service, but in China, they're transformed into luxurious five-star hotels with unparalleled splendor. When I first arrived in the US, I had high expectations for hotels of the same brand, so it's inevitable that there's a slight disappointment. However, the Hyatt is first-rate! At check-in, we were greeted with a welcome champagne and complimentary drinks, available at the first-floor restaurant and rooftop bar. The hotel's design, decor, and dining experience exceeded my expectations! Breakfast was served in the rooftop open-air restaurant. The weather was beautiful and sunny when we checked in, and we could see the Hollywood sign in the distance. It was incredibly relaxing, giving us a truly relaxing, vacation-like feel. The king room we booked surprisingly came with a patio with furnished sofa chairs, perfect for enjoying a drink and chatting with family. From check-in to departure, the hotel staff provided a warm welcome every moment. The only downside is that the bustling West Hollywood district is just outside, and you could still hear the clamor of various parties outside until midnight, only settling down later in the evening. But no hotel is perfect. The hotel's strengths outweighed its weaknesses, and the noise wasn't the hotel's fault. I would choose this hotel again.
