NNanguaniangThe hotel's front desk staff, both the young men and women, were excellent. They arranged a room with a superb view, allowing us to perfectly enjoy the New Year's fireworks display. They were very responsive to all our requests and fully met our holiday needs. Thanks to the enthusiastic help of Ms. Nicole, we quickly traveled from Hong Kong directly to Shenzhen to continue our second leg of the journey. We will definitely choose Island Shangri-La again next time.

GGuest UserTraveling with a young child was a breeze thanks to the hotel's fantastic views, prime location, and excellent service. They had all the baby essentials ready, and even brought our food delivery straight to the room. Anything we needed was just a phone call away and promptly arranged. Plus, K11 Musea mall and the Avenue of Stars are right downstairs!

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic! You can get there directly from Futian Port by subway. Check-in, check-out, and luggage storage were all very accommodating. For a place like Hong Kong where space is at a premium, the hotel facilities are quite decent. It's super convenient for dining and getting around; you can walk to many attractions, and public transport (buses and MTR) is also easily accessible.

GGuest UserBooked this hotel through Trip.com, and they really went the extra mile – confirming that toiletries and power adapters were provided, and even helping me get a room on a higher floor. The hotel's location is truly excellent, right inside Elements Mall. It's super convenient for visiting M+ Museum, shopping at Harbour City, or exploring Victoria Harbour and the Avenue of Stars. You can easily reach most places within a 20-minute city walk. Even though the hotel has been around for nearly 20 years, both the facilities and service are top-notch. The breakfast spread is fantastic. After reading many reviews, I chose the W, and it really offers great value for money!

JJerryChangMSo convenient, being close to Ocean Park! The hotel is also very new, with beautiful scenery, perfect for a lazy getaway. Highly, highly recommend! (It's quite far from the city center and there are no convenience stores nearby.) However, the food is super expensive. The dinner buffet was 700 per person, and the quality was a bit lacking, to be honest 🫢. We stayed for 2 nights and paid an additional 5500 HKD. When I called to order food, the operator said she could speak three languages. I spoke English, but she seemed to have trouble understanding me. I asked for a 'baby chair,' but she asked if I meant 'high chair,' which was a bit different from what I learned when studying abroad, haha 😂. Then I tried speaking Mandarin, and she still seemed to not understand. Was I speaking too fast? I had no choice but to find a Cantonese-speaking friend to communicate with her 😅😅😅

FfsantonidasOur amazing Hong Kong Disneyland trip over the Chinese New Year! We spent a whole day playing with our two kids, and by the time the 20th-anniversary fireworks show ended, they were both exhausted. The hotel's overall style is a lodge, and the room was well-equipped for families, with a kids' bathtub, bed rails, and a child toilet seat, so we didn't have to worry much. The first floor has a small garden that leads straight to the beach, but the outdoor pool was still under maintenance when we visited. The hotel's ecosystem is great; there were birds nesting in the lobby, and the entertainment staff were very enthusiastic, though you might have to wait a bit due to the crowds. The only downside was the price; the room alone cost 4,000 RMB during Chinese New Year, and breakfast for our two kids was an additional 500 HKD, more than double the usual price. 😂

XXiaoxiaoEnvironment: The sea view directly faces Victoria Harbour. We upgraded to an executive room and enjoyed a first-class sea view. Service: The executive lounge offers a full range of sandwiches, coffee, and tea, perfect for afternoon tea. It's very therapeutic to gaze at the sea and relax. Facilities: Everything you need is provided, including children's slippers. Only one bottle of drinking water was initially provided, but calling the front desk quickly got us two more. The laundry service was also quite responsive, and the clothes were washed very clean. Transportation is also very convenient, with the beach and Harbour City not too far to walk to.

SSupermike23I stayed for ten days in Hong Kong for Chinese New Year, and overall the hotel was pretty good. The Chinese New Year decorations created a nice festive atmosphere. The room size was smaller than what you'd find in Beijing, but the bedding was comfortable and the bed was large enough. All the other amenities you'd expect were there. The Wi-Fi was fast enough and had excellent coverage. The transportation around the hotel is convenient. There's a shuttle bus service to and from Shek Mun MTR station, or you can take it to the Royal Park Hotel to transfer to the East Rail Line at Sha Tin New Town Plaza. Just be sure to check the timetable. The A41 bus goes directly to the hotel from Hong Kong Airport or the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge port. You can also take bus 680 to reach areas like Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, and Admiralty on Hong Kong Island in about half an hour. There aren't many restaurants nearby. For food, drinks, and other necessities, there's only a 7-Eleven downstairs, open from 7 AM to 11 PM. Otherwise, you'll need to go closer to Shek Mun station. My only complaint about the room was the two spotlights above the headboard. One was a reading light that could be turned off independently, but the other was a direct room light that couldn't be turned off unless you switched off the main power, which was a really poor design. It was quite glaring when trying to watch TV in bed, a definite flaw in the hardware. The housekeeping staff on my floor were excellent. Every time I saw them, they politely greeted guests and offered New Year wishes. The room cleaning was also very thorough, and they would add amenities according to the number of occupants. For environmental reasons, the hotel doesn't provide bottled water. Instead, they provide a glass carafe, and you fill it yourself from the water dispenser on the floor, which I thought was a good way to avoid excessive waste. I would consider staying here again on my next trip to Hong Kong.

TTianmengLuLuHonestly, this is the best hotel I've stayed at in Hong Kong in the past two years. The breakfast selection is fantastic and delicious, and the location is super convenient. The rooms are spacious and clean, but what really stands out is the staff – they are so friendly and welcoming. I loved the little touches like the wireless charger next to the bed, and having both direct drinking water and a water dispenser was incredibly practical for our family trip.

AAnonymous UserThe location and environment of the Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel are truly exceptional, right by the beach with beautiful scenery, making it perfect for a family vacation. However, the room facilities are a bit dated; the furniture and decor feel old, and the bathroom faucets and shower equipment show some wear and tear, making them a bit inconvenient to use. If you're not too picky about modern amenities and just want to enjoy the sea view and a holiday atmosphere, this is still a good choice. But if you're looking for up-to-date facilities, you might be a little disappointed. Still, for the price in Hong Kong, getting a room this spacious is quite a luxury, so you can't really complain too much.
