NninaThis is the best B&B in Niru, not far from the entrance to the Seven-Colored Waterfall. The owner was incredibly kind. On our second day, we were planning to hike the Nanbao Ranch Loop Trail, and he drove us to the starting point early. Two of our friends were late coming down from the main loop, so he drove ahead to wait at the starting point to avoid signal issues. The B&B is clean and tidy, the food is delicious, and the service is friendly—a rare find in a small area like Niru Village. I also left something behind, and they sent it back to me without charging me for shipping. I felt truly well taken care of. Ginger tea: Relieves altitude sickness ******* Hada welcome: A truly ceremonial experience

GGuest UserThe natural environment and location are superb, with unique architectural design and beautiful scenery. However, the service experience was quite mediocre. Especially in the restaurant, most of the staff seemed new, lacking professionalism and proactive service awareness, remaining passive throughout. I booked a sea-view room, but after booking, the hotel didn't inform me that none of the room types actually offer any lake views. The price difference between room types is quite significant, and the room photos felt misleading. The breakfast hours are very user-friendly, served until 1 PM, but food replenishment was consistently slow, often leading to empty dishes and long waits. Items were only refilled after being prompted, which significantly detracted from the dining experience. Overall, the hotel's scenery and architecture are impeccable, making it ideal for those who love natural landscapes. However, there's significant room for improvement in service training and restaurant management. I hope they strengthen staff service awareness and food replenishment efficiency, so the service can match the excellent environment.

GGuest UserThis hotel is located at the top of the Balagzong Grand Canyon. Upon arrival, you register at the scenic area entrance, get your tickets, and then drive up yourself. It takes about 30 minutes to drive up, so be careful as there are tourist buses going back and forth, and the road is quite narrow, requiring good driving skills. The hotel environment is very pleasant, with cute little monkeys around. You can also take a walk nearby. The hotel offers food, and their stir-fried pork is particularly fragrant and delicious. The staff are also very enthusiastic. The facilities are in a ******* style. The decor is just so-so, but some facilities have been upgraded, such as the large mirror and Xiaomi TV. The toiletries provided are also L'Occitane. One thing to note is that the hotel does not include the 78 RMB ticket for the stupa. Once you're up there, you can't drive to the Echo Wall and Bala Village on your own. You need to arrange transportation through the hotel. Since there weren't many people when we visited, the car arrived quickly, and the experience was quite good.

LLuosimasuosihebayueThis must be a magical garden! I love this camp so much! I can't praise it enough! Every corner is beautiful! We stayed in a large tent, and the view was incredible. Haba Snow Mountain was right across the street. The tent was fully equipped with everything, including a heater, electric blanket, and a comfortable mattress. The wooden bathroom outside the tent also had L'Occitane toiletries, face towels, and a toilet seat. And best of all, Haba Snow Mountain was right outside the window (۶ꈨຶꎁꈨຶ). Also, there's their own cafe right next to the campsite, and the coffee, sparkling water, and snacks were all delicious! Breakfast was noodles, eggs, apple slices, corn, and milk! So filling and delicious! The owner is so handsome and beautiful! And our adorable dog, Dai Meng, is so sweet! He's always there to play with us and even comes to our tent in the morning to call us to breakfast! His fur is soft and his bones are strong—he's a perfect dog (˃ ⌑ ˂ഃ). I highly recommend Granpin Camp! I'll be back next time!

GGuest UserTraveling solo to Shangri-La, Songtsam Linka was the most comforting haven. The Tibetan-style buildings are built into the mountainside, and every window offers a painting-like view of Songzanlin Monastery and the distant morning mist. The interior showcases a refined and upscale ******* aesthetic, with thangkas, wood carvings, and handmade copperware demonstrating meticulous care – it's both serene and powerful. The service was just right – unobtrusive yet attentive: the warm drink before bed and the altitude sickness care really put me at ease. Wandering alone in the courtyard, watching the light and shadows shift, was completely therapeutic. The food was authentic and delicious, with fresh ingredients, making for satisfying and comfortable meals. I was especially happy to meet Diji Zhuoma; her arrangements for my stay, her introduction to the hotel, and her food recommendations were all so thoughtful and perfect. To find such a warm, aesthetically pleasing, and soulful hotel, and meet such a wonderful young woman while traveling solo, was truly a perfect experience. It's worth a special trip, and definitely worth reminiscing about again and again.

GGeorge SavaOur stay at Banyan Tree Ringha was perfect. The property is stunning, but the staff is what makes it a true 5-star luxury experience. A massive thank you to Kendrick and Dolma for making our trip so special! Epic Adventures with Kendrick: Our driver and guide, Kendrick, organized amazing activities for us. He took us to Balagezong National Park (reaching a massive 4250m altitude with our car) and guided us through beautiful cultural sites, among other visits. Above & Beyond Care: We visited in April and were hit by a cold front (-4-0°C nights, 7-10°C days). Kendrick immediately helped us get an extra heater for our room and even went shopping with us to find a warm winter jacket. He truly cared about our comfort. Unforgettable Dining: Dolma at the restaurant was absolutely wonderful. Just like Kendrick, she went out of her way to make sure we were happy, making every single meal memorable with her fantastic service. If you want a hotel that truly cares about its guests and offers incredible local experiences, look no further than Banyan Tree Ringha!

GGuest UserA typical well-established hotel with grand common areas and a lovely lobby view. The food selection is rich and diverse. Rooms are fully equipped, and they even provide thoughtful touches like laundry detergent, a humidifier, a small stationery kit, a sewing kit, and an umbrella. The staff are professional and welcoming. The hotel boasts its own spacious and convenient parking lot, complete with supercharging stations. It's also conveniently located close to the ancient city, and taxis are readily available, especially if you avoid peak hours. My only minor complaint is that the room lighting isn't very bright, perhaps to complement the Tibetan-style decor.

DDalilixiaomoliBalagezong (Shangri-La Grand Canyon) is truly breathtaking. If this wasn't a hotel review, I'd write extensively about it. The guesthouse's location is good, with Gezong Snow Mountain right across, seemingly within reach. However, Balagezong Village itself has few residents, making it feel quite deserted, but that's precisely what you'd expect in the heart of the mountains. The young lady at the hotel's front desk was lovely and very capable, handling many details perfectly and organizing our activities flawlessly. When I learned she was a student working during her winter break, I deeply resonated with her situation, as I, too, was studying abroad and working part-time at her age. I also want to thank the young man at the front desk who helped us with our luggage; he was very enthusiastic. During check-in, there was a minor issue (see pictures) where something in the bathroom fell off. However, my father told me not to complain so as not to trouble the young lady, and I followed his advice. That's why I gave a 5-star rating for facilities. Honestly, you do need to improve, especially the bathroom's temperature control. The heating device automatically shuts off, and once it does, the bathroom's temperature drops to about 10-odd degrees Celsius, which is really cold. I gave a poor rating for service, and this specific complaint is about breakfast. Your breakfast is truly laughable. I just want to ask your locals if they can get full from this? Paying over a thousand yuan for a room and getting a breakfast that's like a guesthouse's (or even worse than a guesthouse's) – don't you think that's incredibly unfair to the distant friends who come here to visit? I deeply admire Snamedinzhu for doing so much for his hometown and his people. So, those who come after, please don't tarnish his legacy. I also want to criticize the attitude of some locals and tourists here. Apart from the young man who checked me in and the shuttle bus drivers, other locals I encountered (like the driver the guesthouse called for our transfer and restaurant staff at the guesthouse) were unfriendly. I don't believe it's just because you're 'straightforward' or 'blunt.' Do you speak to your friends and family impolitely too? Again, please don't embarrass Snamedinzhu. If you don't welcome tourists, you can just say so. It's not like we absolutely have to come here.

GGuest UserParking is very convenient, making it ideal for those driving themselves. This classic five-star hotel offers exceptionally warm and attentive service, and its gardens are stunning. You'll find much better dining options nearby compared to those within the ancient city. It's a perfect stopover spot for rest and restocking, providing easy access for onward travel, especially if you're heading to Baima Meili to admire the beautiful snow-capped mountains. Thumbs up!
