The Steamboat Grand is a great place to stay for its close location from the town, for the room quality, and the amenities like the 2 hot tubs and pool. The room (2 queen beds) was clean, roomy, and adequate for our 2 night pre-ski season stay. We loved the large size of the 2 hot tubs and the vastness of the pool area. But, it was the customer service that was most outstanding and impressive. At check-in, no time was wasted by the friendly concierge in guiding me from the curb to the front desk. The front desk attendant was very friendly and welcoming and had our room ready early in the day, which was a bonus since we had arrived early after a long drive to Steamboat Springs. In the hallways, we were always greeted with kindness by passing staff. But, the dining room servers were the ones who stood out the most with their hospitality, kindness, and distinctively welcoming and positive attitudes. At all of our meals, servers Jamie and Caleigh were especially super attentive and took great care of us. Their customer service reflect great credit upon themselves and the hotel staff as a whole. We felt more motivated to eat in instead of eating outside the hotel, even with the limited summer menu. The bar drinks were top notch and decently priced. The service desk to check-in to the pool area was quick, efficient, and simple. Those attendants were super nice and helpful too. In short, the customer service was awesome and made quite a lasting impression with us.
