I have stayed at the Nordic Lodge for decades. It was dated, but the location was great, the staff was kind and the rooms well maintained. The hotels recently came under new ownership. It has not been a good change.
I booked a comfort room with one queen bed, listed as 225 sq'. When we arrived we received a room less than 90 sq' with a full sized bed. When I spoke with the front desk I was told they were over booked and they offered a partial refund if I cancelled and moved to another hotel. But the whole town was sold out.
Our friends who were also booked at Nordic Lodge received a 7 hours before check in and they were told the hotel was over booked and their reservation had been cancelled.
The room downgrade without compensation was the worst part, but we didn't have hot water in the shower. One of the walls was 2 sheets of plywood screwed to the studs. The table was melted. A wheel kept falling off the chair. The hot tub was drained and not usable. And basic amenities you would expect like soap and shampoo were not in the room. The amount of dust made it clear the room had not been cleaned.
I'm attaching photos so you can see, the bed was 4" from one wall and 6" from the other, thick dust, melted table, stained sheets, holes in the doors, etc.
