Boschendal Farm Estate

Boschendal Estates must rank as one of THE places to stay in the Stellenbosch area. Surrounded by mountains on one side and rolling meadows on the other, the scenery is spectacular, and the location is ideal for visiting vineyards in the region. The Retreat Cottages where we stayed were charming and the staff at both the Deli and Werf restaurants were most helpful. Special mention for Marylise who went out of her way to accommodate our requirements and Peter our young hiking trail guide who persisted despite a severe allergy attack. Great breakfast at the Werf too!

The floors might have been cleaned better before our check in. The reception staff in not up to standard

Property very beautiful a big. Rooms are not very clean and need some maintenance.

The Retreat Cottages are Devine. Nice space, furnishings, and linens. The location is very private. You can see the stars in the evening sky! The staff was very kind and helpful.

Amazing farm estate, beautifully run and managed. Super staff. Great facilities within the estate. Our retreat cottage was lovely, comfortable, clean and great location. I would however say the kitchen needs to be better equipped- lack of utensils and glasses; also bedrooms very small. I feel the cottages could be styled to a higher standard.

Everything about Boschendal was fantastic. Full stop. If you doubt this review, Boschendal is not for you. More than full marks.

The Champagne cottage was very spacious, comfortable and clean. We felt very much at home. The view of the mountains from the back terrace was beautiful. The property was private and peaceful. It was removed from the main resort facilities, which required a car/ shuttle to get to. There were fans in the rooms, but no functioning AC. Having a clothes washer was much appreciated.

Everything was beautiful from check-in to check-out. We loved this place so much, we stayed extra. There is so much to do on site, you need just a full day there. The breakfast was amazing and great service. The rooms were beautiful. Also, loved the robes they provided.
