This lodge is ideally situated if you want to walk to some amazing vineyards or hike the stunning Banhoek valley and hills. The lodge itself is situated quite close to the road so book rooms 3 or 6 if you want complete peace and quiet as they are towards the back. We found the service to be exceptional.

The most beautiful hotel room I ever had. The view is amazing! The room is really comfortable and clean. You have two options you can order breakfast to your room or you’re going to the breakfast area. Both is great! Everyone is really friendly.

Great service from all the staff! The room was very comfortable over a cold and rainy weekend, and the gas fireplace added a lovely ambience. Will definitely return and recommend to friends and family!

A delightful lodge with beautiful views over the vineyards and mountains, the luxurious bedroom with everything one needs to be comfortable! Loved the thoughtful snacks (popcorn), wines, choccies in the room, underfloor heating in the bathroom and then the views from the balcony and bath, spectacular! We looked for a fireplace option and here we had it all in our room! It was simply the best decision to book Banhoek Lodge and we can't wait to get back for another weekend! Loved everything about the place, oh and we loved the delicious breakfast which was included..so yes, I highly recommend Banhoek Lodge, in fact, I did not want to leave at all!!

From the moment we arrived at Banhoek Lodge we were confronted with the most spectacular views visible from every room and angle of the lodge. The warm hospitality made us feel like royalty with a touch of familiarity that resembles home. The accommodation exceeds a 5-star experience in literally every sense. The staff went beyond expectations to meet every single need we had. This was the ideal one-stop stay over with wine-tasting and top class restaurants in close proximity. We definitely can’t wait to return, hopefully for a much longer stay.

The most amazing view in South Africa. Friendly staff and service, beautiful rooms and bathrooms, lots of attention to small detail. An amazing selection of well know wine tasting options within walking distance from the lodge. Once here you will always return.

We enjoyed the intimate, cozy, B&B feel of this propery. The room itself was simple but comfortable, but it was truly delightful to wake up to a vineyard and mountain view right outisde our room and in the breakfast area. Conveniently located right between Stellenbosch and Franschoek, it was easy to visit the wine farms and restaurants in both areas. The staff was always cheerful and helpful. We would stay here again next time we're in the area.
