Travelodge Stoke-on-Trent Trentham

We had a lovely stay in this hotel, room was comfy and staff were very helpful. The cleaners in the morning were kind.

Does what it says on the tin, cheap and cheerfull very clean and staff super efficient and always try to assist. Stay here often and never had a negative experience

Firstly, I have tried to contact this place but just got a holding email back and nothing since. When we arrived, there was no one to be seen on reception, we had to call the number on the notice, only to hear the phone ringing in the back room, and then they arrived totally disinterested, this was when I realised I’d made a massive mistake in booking the place! It quite simply needs to be closed, it is absolutely disgusting. Our room stank of dog, the bathroom was filthy and the whole thing needed ripping out. I paid over £200 for 2 nights and had the breakfast included. I wrongly assumed that breakfast would be in the next door Toby Carvery, my fault for not checking, but it was a breakfast box that we were given, cereal, milk (which without scissors you had no way of opening) a chocolate pastry and a flapjack. Nowhere did I see anything to put the cereal in?! Also, even though we had paid for this, reception didn’t tell us when we checked in that we would need to ask for it? The Toby next door is awful, filthy overflowing ashtrays and fag butts everywhere, dirty plates left on tables for hours, and sticky dirty tables All in all just rotten, save your money and book elsewhere!

Stayed here to attend son’s Graduation at Staffs uni. The room was clean but tired and very dated. I can live with that as it was cheap at £60 for a night. We were in room 215. The low score is due to - 1. The mattress on the bed was really awful. I was sliding towards the middle of the bed all night and felt like i was on a slope, clearly sagging in the middle. I got very little sleep. 2. The TV had sound but no picture, not what we wanted when England were playing in the world cup semi final. Had the bed been comfy and the tv worked id have scored it 3 or even 4 as it was cheap, quiet and clean.

If you have booked here then you made a mistake as we did but it is located only 1/4 mile from the Premier Lodge where you can eat dinner and breakfast avoiding the sticky tables in the next door Toby. A trip back to the 1980’s as the brown furniture, faux marble bathroom tiles with dated taps and shower fittings, and a truly uncomfortable bed to put in the mix. Reception staff were pleasant enough so the hotel gets an additional tick. Cheap is dear and dear is cheap, what you save in cash here you spend in personal comfort.

Me and my partner have stayed here a number of times , and every time has been excellent, from the cleanliness of the rooms to the friendliness of the staff. The Travelodge is attached to the Toby Carvery, lovely food, good selection of ales and Sky Sports. If you're a lover of real ales I can recommend The Bod, a five min walk away , across from the Bod is the beautiful Trentham Gardens. So if you are having a break or a weekend away to Staffordshire, Travelodge Trentham is a great base. Oh, and not forgetting Staffordshire Oatcakes...Fab.

me and my girlfriend have stayed at this hotel a number times and found the rooms to be very clean and tidy and the staff was very friendly and very helpful and the toby carvery was very good and reasonably priced and we will be staying there again soon and it is set back from the main road so you dont here any traffic at night and there is a shop not far from the hotel and garage down the round to yours greatfully tim and carol

Lovely hotel, very welcoming, large warm comfy room , I could adjust the heating easily when needed, tea coffee in room, plenty of power points in the right places

We stayed at Travelodge Trentham just before the end of the year and were very pleased with our visit. As it was my partner’s birthday the week before, we incorporated this into our trip, and the team went above and beyond to make it special. They kindly put up birthday banners in the room and left a small treat on the bed, which was a really thoughtful and much-appreciated touch. Everything about our stay was excellent, the room was comfortable, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the location was ideal. Being right next door to a Toby Carvery was also extremely convenient. A big thank you to the team at Travelodge Trentham for a wonderful and memorable stay.
