Hilton Strasbourg

The room was great with nice view and very comfortable with soft pillows but no amenity kit in the room. The breakfast had not so many choices.

My stay at the Hilton Strasbourg was overall very pleasant. The location is convenient, close to the European Parliament and with tram access to the city center. The room was clean and comfortable, though a little dated in style. Staff were polite and helpful, and the breakfast had a good variety. A solid choice for a short stay in Strasbourg.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience at the Hilton Strasbourg. I had booked a Deluxe Room, but the room I was first given had a very unpleasant smell. After informing the reception, I was moved to another room; however, this room is much smaller, does not correspond to the Deluxe category, and unfortunately was also in poor condition. There were hairs on the towels and in the bathroom, and the room itself had an unpleasant odor. This is far below the standard I expected, especially considering that I paid for a Deluxe Room. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue promptly. I would appreciate either being placed in a proper Deluxe Room in acceptable condition or being provided with appropriate compensation. Thank you for your attention. Location a bit away but that suited us, easy to drive to other places. Staff was helpful, room is basic, beds are soft, room was serviced but clothes were not folded, just placed on a pile on the desk. There is a water boiler but still has the 1990’s instant coffee. Parking costs E25/day….., park across the road for free (3 min walk). We arrived at 14:05 and as 15:00 was CI time they did not honour earlier CI because ‘they run 100% occupancy the day before’ but for Euro50 extra I could get a room immediately… yeah right! Free hot xmas wine in the lobby is a nice gesture.

Two encounters marked my displeasure. 1. We can only check in the rooms after 3pm, though we think that rooms may already be ready. About half an hour after we were rested in the room, two attending technicians came knocking on. My door and admitted themselves before I could open for them. They seem to be attending to a previous complaint but not evident when we checked in. My grouse is that if the room’s complaints have not been attended to, why release it for the next guests? 2. When we checked in, we weee told that our car park charges will be discounted 50% upon our exi. But upon checking out, we were informed this was not the case for whatever reasons. After some arguments and notification that we were also Hilton Honors members, the reception staff relented. Why create an unpleasant situation when the expectation was given on checking in? I cannot understand.

The receptionist was very polite and.welcoming, welcoming.The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Had the necessary appliances. I enjoyed my stay
