Stayed for 10 days Good location with pleasant walk along the lake to the town. Location near to railway station very handy to explore further afield enjoyed some lovely days out Do need to check rail timetable due to ongoing rail works. Restaurant next to the railway station is worth a visit. Hotel very clean and staff all very friendly. Had large corner balcony with partial lake views. Stayed half board could always find something to eat from salad bar and main courses presented well . Did enjoy eating out some days and if we returned would only do breakfast . Booked 3 excursions via tui website sadly 2 were cancelled at the last minute but did manage to catch trains to same destinations. Refunds given quickly. Stresa is really a beautiful location with many places to go to.

Stayed for a week half board May 25 Good points friendly helpfull staff, very clean. Good location. Downside the room we stayed in had a mountain view but was very dated 1980,vibe. Had only 1 plug socket in the room. If you wanted a shower with hot water had to have between 5 and 7 pm daily otherwise water stone cold. Air con was centrally controlled so not ideal and very noisy. While some of the above not great all workable. The biggest issue I had with the hotel was the quality of the food. We had breakfast and dinner included with our package breakfast was a basic buffet with very processed foods eg tinned fruits and only white bread. The dinner was a very poor offering daily mostly cold and tasteless food no culinary delight to say the least.

We spent a really lovely week at Hotel Della Torre. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, especially those in the restaurant who were attentive but not at all intrusive. We enjoyed the food very much - a good choice for breakfast and 4 traditional courses for dinner. The hotel is spotless, and our standard room was comfortable with clean towels every day. The swimming pool is great with a very good pool bar. The area is beautiful, and our trip to Isola Bella was definitely a highlight. The lake is only a 5 minutes walk from the hotel. We walked to Stresa many times, but it does take 25 minutes. Don’t forget your mozzy spray!

good points, breakfast boxes supplied, for early starts. freindly helpfull staff. good location,close to ferry pick up point. nice flat walk into town. fridge in room. ...Bad points...Thin walls and ceilings in bedrooms, can hear every little noise. including people above,going to the toilet. No uk TV. 40% tax added to dinner drinks when you check out. Meals...good buffet breakfast, evening meals, good salad starter selection. help yourself. 2nd course pasta, nothing, exciting. Main course NO variation, (veal 4 times in a week) Small amounts in middle of plate. Good selection of help yourself sweets, very tasty.

Stayed at the Della Torre for a 3 night stay in September as a group of 5, I personally had a single room. The hotel was an ideal base for us to explore the resort of Stresa, it was a walk into the resort, but we chatted and enjoyed the lake views and took our time. The staff in the bar, dining room and reception were very friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the hotel on the first night after a long first day travelling. Dinner was really enjoyable, and we all enjoyed the breakfasts each morning. My room was a little dated but very clean, and the bed comfortable for me. It did overlook the road, (but I live in East London, am immune to traffic noise) but the doors onto the balcony were good soundproofing. All in all I thought the hotel was a solid 3 stars, a lovely traditional style Italian accommodation, I'd be more than happy to return.

Location was good. Close to town and ferry. Disappointed with front desk service. No help with luggage to or from your room. Room view was awesome but no Kleenex, robes or slippers not a four star hote by any means. Breakfast was ok . Large variety of food. Decor was average. Drapes hanging of rods incorrectly in dining room was not a good look. Beds and pillows not very comfortable but not terrible. With that being said if we I did not have that awsome view of lake we would have been totally disappointed with this hotel.

The staff at this hotel were very welcoming and extremely helpful with advice. The breakfast was good, bacon underdone for us but plenty of other choices available. Location is pretty good, a couple of restaurants close by and about 1 klm walk to the centre of everything. Our only negative was that the room is very “tight” and a bit tired. The bedhead had tears in the fabric. No tea & coffee making facilities either and we do like our morning cuppa. There was a small balcony overlooking a rooftop and a road but as we had a fair amount of rain we didn’t get to use it anyway.

The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly and approachable. The food was good with a menu of a large buffet salad starter, two courses then varied buffet dessert. The pool is not enormous but a reasonable size with the usual seating, chairs beds etc. It was never crowded when we were there. Although there were roads nearby it was never intrusive.
