Premier Inn Stuttgart City Europaviertel

Stuttgart-Mitte
It is an inn where you always stay with a happy heart. It's nice that the plaza is right in front and the station is also located. However, parking fees are charged on a per-day basis.

The location of the hotel is very central and allows you to reach the center in a few minutes on foot. The structure is a bit old and the rooms are not very spacious and there is no air conditioning. In addition, despite the fact that the services offered include the fitness center, actually asking at the reception we were told that it was false information.

No-frills hotel. New-built around a newly built up commercial area. 15 mins walk from train station and right in front is a tram station. Unfortunately, weird planning means from the pedestrian level where tram station is, and where the malls and walkway to main train station is, is on another level above the lobby entrance, with no access except stairs, very inconvenient for those with luggage, not even a slope. Asked the staff and he told me to walk through the shopping mall carpark and use their lift. Great. Another way is to drag your luggage up to Jaz Hotel and get onto the pedestrian level there. Very limited service as they are a 3-star budget hotel, so expect to wait for a while before you can check-in, mostly as there is no one at the counter most times. One night not sure if it was someone pulling a prank, but the fire alarm went off at 9pm and all of us had to evacuate. Turns out it was a false alarm after 30 mins of waiting. No explanations given, no staff going around to do a headcount of the guests like most chain hotels train them to. Then 3am it happened again. We were all woken up by the alarm and had to do the evacuation, and then no explanations, we were just told to go back to the rooms. The very least they could have given a letter and explaining what happened, but no, and no one at the counter to ask as mentioned before. Gave me a phobia for the first few nights that it'll happen anytime. No aircon in the room, and if you want it cool, you have to open the window, but hotel is right by the tramway and train station so if you are a light sleeper, good luck as the traffic is constant till late at night. You can hear people talking while they're waiting for their tram, and cigarette smoke coming up from them too if you're at the low floors. Note that there are no safety deposit box and no tissue paper provided. Other than that it's a brand new hotel so everything is clean and modern. There is a huge mall next door with many big brands like Zara, H&M and Primark, closes on Sunday. Lots of dining options around. The famous Stuttgart library is around the corner too for instagrammable photos. It's overall a good location, just perhaps they can consider an entry into the hotel on the tram-level.

The best thing about the Astoria is really the location, right in the city centre on Hospitalstrasse. One of my favourite places to stay when in Stuttgart it is very central to all the main attractions in the city and close enough to rail tram bus links.. its always a pleasure to stay when I'm on town.... I always recommend highly when anyone I know come to visit..

Although the hotel has come in the years and sweated I have despite the eagle fan and the attired hangs in the room at a summer evening/night in Stuttgart, but for this the hotel staff was super friendly and helpful, always Open for questions, that made everything back wager! My room and the bathroom were clean and spacious, also there was a large desk and a minibar. The city's acquaintance and sleeping could start immediately, because the hotel is located near shopping streets, museums and similar. Bus and train near and the Hbf is only a kilometre walk away. OK, the central location has only one hook, a ”slightly” noise it was persistently by people in the evening, cars on the way to the next club ...
Motel One Stuttgart-Mitte

I do not normally advise others to completely avoid a hotel, but in this instance I do. I was disgusted by the quality of the product and standard of customer service at Motel One Stuttgart-Mitte. To begin, my welcome to the hotel was a tea and coffee machine roped off and taped up (pics attached). What a horrible way to, in the first moment of arrival, make your ‘guests’ feel unwelcome and disrespected. It is common practice at hotels all around the world to offer tea and coffee facilities in the room. If not offered in the guest rooms, hotels/hostels/motels etc offer these facilities in the common areas of the hotel (Hub by Premier Inn for instance). When I asked about this upon check in I was informed “you can pay” and collect tea from the bar. Whilst styling itself as a ‘budget hotel’ this accomodation cost over €80 per night, for that price I expect tea and coffee to be included…..as it is at a €30 hostel down the road. How dare you price gouge your guests in this manner. I asked to speak to the hotel manager (who it later turned out was not the hotel manager as he was apparently in Frankfurt). She reiterated that accessing the tea and coffee machine was “not allowed” however I may request boiling water from the bar….I accepted this solution. That night I requested a cup of boiling water and was met with a strange look and questions, I was forced to explain that the hotel manager said I could have boiling water. As I waited I got a tea bag from the tea/coffee station which was met with absolute horror by the reception staff who berated me and told me off for taking the tea bag. So as it turned out I was allowed boiling water but not a tea bag….how petty can you be? What an appalling way to treat ‘guests.’ I would have been happy to pay the 5-10 cents for the tea bag as it appears motel one count every last cent. Not to worry I had a spare tea bag in my bag….that’s an extra 10 cents for the motel one brand. Another example of the complete disregard and disrespect shown to the needs of their guests can be seen through their refusal to turn the air conditioning on!!!!! As has been remarked on by other guests on this forum. It is summer in Germany, the 2 days of my stay were above 25 and with the sun glaring in the room the room itself was above 35, as such, I had 2 wrestles, sleepless nights which affected my time in this wonderful city. When I asked about the air conditioning it was made clear that it WOULD NOT be turned on. I asked what I should do, I was told to open the window. Open the window to music, partying, car noise, car horns, airplanes, trains….and worst of all the construction work by the hotel itself….the hotel I am PAYING to stay in!!….all of which can be heard throughout the day and night. At this point I realised that all motel one care about is how much money they can make out of each guest….why pay for the electricity of the air conditioning system when the guests can have an uncomfortable and disruptive sleep….the comf
