Summer Seaview Hotel Apartment (Dongdaihe Shanhai Tongwan Branch)

It was a good visit the hotel was neat and the staff were supportive, the only downside was that most good places to see were closed especially the restaurants so i had to spend more money ordering food. I couldn't cook atmost because the room i was in didn't have a microwave and a good pan.But generally i enjoyed the trip

the hotel is located around 30 minutes away by car from the main touristic area, so unless you are driving or willing to pay for a taxi, I wouldn't recommend staying here. the hotel isn't exactly convenient to reach, although I did see a poster offering bus rides from Beijing to Beidaihe and vice versa for quite cheap. the hotel is located inside a community, with a bunch of restaurants in the area. There is also a beach right across the neighborhood, which offers many activities (we were there during a rainy weekend so there were none), if you are interested in swimming, on that specific beach it is prohibited, so you will have to go to another one. Overall, it is a nice beach if you just want to hang out with your partner or with friends. The highlight for me definitely were the facilities in the hotel. The apartment was clean, with a decently sized balcony, the bed was great, and the air conditioner was good, but the best part was the shower (all i can say that it was the best shower I have encountered in any hotel in China). overall, if you want peace and quiet away from the noise and crowds, this is a good location for relaxation.

The hotel is clean and safe. I went there by Didi, and the driver didn't have any problem finding the place. The owner is kind and helpful, very responsive to a message I sent. The surroundings were a bit quiet, used to have a lot of restaurants nearby. But the economic downturn might have affected some businesses, so only a few remain.
