I really enjoyed stay at Thairungruang Hotel Surat Thani. The hotel has a charming Chinese style, with beautiful vases at the reception that immediately create an elegant and authentic atmosphere. The rooms are simple but very spacious, spotlessly clean, and offer a nice view of the street and local life — perfect to feel immersed in Surat Thani. The location is ideal: everything is within walking distance (temple, night market, river). The staff is very professional, discreet, and efficient. 👉 Excellent value for money, highly recommended.

Great value for money but the person who does the room is so rude she doesn't even respond to hello or thank you.

For the money we paid we got what we got. It is an old hotel, but it was clean. Unfortunately they only provide a small soap, toilet paper and towels, no shampoo, conditioner or shower gel. The bad was that the fan room had no hot water which was surprising for us, and on top of this we got no proper blanket to cover ourselves but a towel which wasn't that big so we were struggling with the cold during the night. Also, you can hear everything around as the room had a big opening to the main hall covered with something like a fence so you can see throw and obviously hear anyone passing by. The toilet had the same issue, the walls aren't built up to the ceiling so you can hear everything happening there in the room...

some rooms have a lot of small ants. and stains on the walls. but slept well.

There was a cockroach in the sink trying to escape. The pipe is not close but leads to the shower evacuation. The lift doesn't go to the second floor. It smells cigarettes in the corridor. I could hear the traffic during the afternoon. I couldn't close the door of the bathroom from the outside as there was no handle.

Looks like the hotel was top notch couple of decades ago, which makes it perfect for a rustic space.

Stayed at a room without AC. Sleeping only with a fan on the ceiling was kinda tough in high humidity and temperature in the rainy season. Staffs are friendly and i had a good time talking to them even though i don’t understand any Thai :) Theres a cool collection of vintage furniture and stuff on the lobby.

Room: Room itself is quite good for this price and comfortable bed even though it has some smell for a few seconds. But towels are quite old and became too rough to use. Location: The hotel locate right in the middle of the town and nearby to night market. Service: Friendly staff and recreation open 24/7.

Hotel ok perfect position for take the bus and near to night market pretty cute. One lady is not very kind but for the price the room is ok

so big and clean room amazing for the price. Food courts nearby. 

Needed a last minute place to rest my head at 5am and managed to get a room within a few minutes of arrival. Interesting art and sculptures around the premises :)

The place is quite close to the bus station, night markets and temples. Its very basic, no warm water but okay for a night.

Economic hotel, very quiet at night, worth recommending
