The place is very good placed ! Beautiful pool and great outside vieuw. Room is half half. Very big and great but also very old and not perfectly clean

The hotel Is pretty old...Standard cleanliness, excellent location, just a 10-minute walk from Surfers Paradise. If you're using the hotel just as a base, it's perfectly fine

 Very  convenient to shops restaurants bars beaches walking distances to every thing around 

nice views. some staff are nice, some are not. appreciate the one that allowed us to keep luggage past working hours. late check in fee after working hrs is 10$/hr, beware

Love the room with the lake view. Cooking stove, refrigerator and kettle are provided. Good cooking pan to cook the steak. The amenities such as the pool is nice at night. However, the wifi does not work well. Happy with the stay.

The hotel bed was too soft.

The location is wonderful .. short walk to surfers paradise and skypoint is just right next door. Easy to get from airport as the tram stop is just right next to skypoint. Many cafe and restaurant choices. Did not use the pool or gym. Noise can be heard from room as the walls are thin. Easy check in .. staff did not advise much on the resort facilities and we figure out the wifi password base on the sticker on the kitchen wall. Our rooms balcony look out into the pool which is nice.

Make sure you are going to correct property as there are two Paradise Resorts, one is a kids resort and the other, this one is Paradise Island. This property is quite old. You cannot get into your room before 2pm. Staff stated they would call when room ready, but we didn't receive a call. The major resort amenities are a pool and tennis court. The rooms are air-conditioned and have ceiling fans. They have dishwashing detergent but no teatowel. They have a washing machine but you have to purchase detergent. BYO shampoo, conditioner. A small round cake of soap for shower & toilet. 2 rolls of single ply toilet paper. A room service occurs after every 7 nights or you can pay for one in between. There are a couple of teabags and coffee sachets in room or tea/coffee vending machine in foyer beside snacks machine. You're more likely to walk 5-10mins up the road for a real coffee. Big supermarkets are walking distance from hotel. Utilise the tram as much as possible as each trip is only 50 cents to go north or south.

BAD THINGS - The first (automatic) message received before arrival was a rude ‘please note that you will be charged $25 if you arrive after 6pm’, without even a ‘hello’, but whatever. - There's no sign on the road indicating that you're in front of the hotel: only once you get to the front desk, hidden by the column, do you see one, but by now you're there. - Arrived at 5.30 p.m., at reception, there was only a lady with a bag on her shoulder, ready to leave, who greeted us without so much as a smile and treated us as if she were doing us a favour: perhaps she would do well to consider other career options. - The hotel asks for a $200 deposit on arrival for any damages or room left "messy" or "dirty" (???). - The “resort” is only such in name: apart from a nice swimming pool, a mini gym, a tennis court and a sauna and steam room, it doesn't have much to call it such. - The doors are old, the paint peeling, the carpet in the rooms stained, the wifi works poorly in the room and not at all in the toilet of the same room. - The bathroom has no windows and no extractor fan. - In the room there is a ‘welcome’ flyer explaining that in order to reduce reservation costs, the rooms are cleaned EVERY SEVEN NIGHTS of stays, and that if you want, for a fee (3$ per towel, 20$ for complete cleaning), additional cleaning can be requested: these things should be indicated at the moment of reservation, so you can decide if you want to save money or have a better service. Moreover, the room on our arrival was not even very well cleaned, there was some rubbish here and there (not communicated at the moment for fear of "claims" on the deposit). GOOD THINGS - EXCELLENT location - the deposit on the card was released less than 2 days after check out - spacious room - large shower

The shower head was broken, needs to be replaced. They didn't replenish tea or sugar daily. The room smelt moldy when entering. Sink in the bathroom very slow to drain.

We didn't expect our stay to be in such a wonderful setting. With tennis court, fantastic pools area with gym etc. we were on the 2nd floor with Riverview WOW. THE resort is totally central to all. Also the cost factor unbelievable not your normal Surfer Paradise $$$$$. Totally recommend

Perfect for families as there is a pool available. Near the beach and amazing food choices nearby. Highly Highly recommend Fuji Sushi, Sushi is very fresh and prices are reasonable coming from an Asian!!

In this price range and solo travel, it's good place but for family I don't think it's good. Room has some sort of smell. The location is very good everything is on waking distance, especially beach point

So good for the price
