Very disappointed with the reception staff on duty at my visit - should not be working in hospitality. When I arrived I was on the top floor -floor two, I was aware that they did not have a lift, so the girl on reception gave me my door card and I carried my bags up the four flights of stairs when I got to the corridor door my card would not open the door. So leaving my bags I walked back down the stairs to ask for the card to be sorted no smile or apology given just a new card registered - back up the four flights and this one worked. When I got to my room the television remote would not work I managed to get the TV on by pressing the button at the back of the screen but it would not turn up the sound or change channel, back down the stairs again to ask for help and she did not seem bothered and looked for new batteries - gave me two old ones as that was all she could find and back up the four flights with again no apology or smile or communication really and you guessed it still would not work. When I went back later as I was meeting a friend for a meal I again asked for help and she was again very negative but ran down the bottom corridor and I presume took a remote from a different room and gave me this one. No apology or much interaction very disappointed with my reception - not the usual I expect at a Premier Inn, or the cobwebs on the ceiling in my room.
