Hotel Saginoyu

Beautiful hotel with wonderful service. Short walk from the JR station. Maybe it’s because I was there during a weekday and an off peak season everywhere was nice and quiet. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Got a room with a view of the lake it’s absolutely beautiful. Would definitely come back again.

It was the first night of my entire trip—and also the most expensive one. But it was absolutely worth it! Lake Suwa was right in front of the hotel. If you take the train, it might be a bit of a walk, but since I drove, the location was perfect. The hotel was incredibly spacious, and the onsen was lovely. Dinner (a full course meal) was exceptional, and breakfast was just as impressive—absolutely delicious! One thing I still wonder about: what were those insects outside the window at night? They clung to the glass, and I was afraid they might get inside. Thankfully, the window seals were excellent, so none of them made it indoors. Only the outdoor bath had a few, which was understandable. I truly hope I can go back again—with my mom next time!

Superb Onsen that must visit if you going to the location. Nice dinner..

I like the dinner and breakfast. The onsen also quite pretty. The hotel dont feel dated n the view is incredible

The pillow is too small and very hard. It will be good of the hotel can provide a bigger pillow.

Right across Lake Suwa and walking distance to Kamisuwa station. Hotel compound was big. Loved the zen garden. Staff were extremely kind and helpful. Enjoyed the free outdoors foot bath, and the indoor onsen was huge. Wonderful stay overall. Do note that single rooms do not have lake views.
