Katakura Silk Hotel

Very good, worth staying! I asked Ctrip butler to make an appointment for the pick-up at Kamisuwa Station. The staff drove Alfa to pick me up. Fortunately, the staff could speak Chinese. The high-quality, thoughtful and meticulous service started from the moment I picked me up. I booked this hotel after seeing a Japanese travel blogger staying in this hotel. There would be welcome desserts after checking into the room. All rooms face the lake. I told the staff that I wanted to visit the guesthouse and the chrysanthemum next to it, and they immediately arranged it. I also gave the tickets for the Sennin Furo. Next to it is the small art gallery and Katakurakan. The Katakurakan is Western-style outside and Japanese-style inside. Buy tickets to visit. The Sennin Furo is a large hot spring bath open to the public. The Western-style building with a gorgeous facade was built in 1928 to provide hot spring services to the public. The Sennin Furo was very spectacular in those days, but it doesn't look big now. It costs more than 800 yen per person. There is a cafeteria on the second floor at noon to provide simple meals. Crossing the road is Lake Suwa, where there are sightseeing boats. I booked a one-night stay with two meals, and the dinner was Western-style, which was very good. The meal was much better than the Relais & Chateaux Onsen Myojinkan where I stayed before. The quality was excellent and the taste was very good. A very attentive meal. Each room has a lake view bath with an adjustable curtain that cannot be seen from the outside. The hot spring flows 24 hours a day, the water quality is good, and it is convenient to soak in the hot spring multiple times. It is very comfortable after soaking. There are Japanese and Western breakfasts. The Western breakfast I chose is very good. After eating, I feel full of energy for the whole day. The disadvantage of Wendian is that it is on the roadside, there is noise at night, not noisy during the day, the curtains do not block light, and it is better to put a new pair of cotton slippers for indoor slippers, but the high-quality and perfect reception can make up for it. After checking out at 11 o'clock, there is a room number plate with the name on it, which is a surprise. Then it was sent to the station, and patiently and thoughtfully helped me store my luggage. There are four inconvenient transportation to Suwa Shrine. I went to the supermarket opposite the station. Compared with Hema, it is simply garbage, with low quality and high price. There is Matsumoto Kiyoshi on the second floor, but it is not tax-free. In this hotel, every detail that I mentioned unintentionally will be taken care of. I stayed in more than a dozen hotels this time, including the time-honored Karuizawa Manpei, Akakura Kanko Hotel, and the newly emerging fufu brand Karuizawa Jingyang Forest. Compared with them, the services here are the best. Tobiraki Onsen Myojinkan has a bad review and the food is very bad.

We stayed in a snowy winter. We were assigned a corner room on the third floor, right in front of Lake Suwa, and the view was great. If you stay on the second floor, you might be bothered by people on the road or the promenade. The room was spacious, and the towels etc were of very good quality. It was disappointing that we had to request a bathrobe and that there was no floor heating in some areas. The hot spring in the room felt smaller than expected, but the hot spring in winter is still the best. There is no large public bath, but you can use the facility next door, but it was too cold to walk outside, so we gave up. The food was heavy for us, so we left it. We knew that we couldn't wear yukata when leaving the room, but it was still inconvenient. It was a small hotel, so I wish they had some stylish indoor wear.

I stayed for one night, but I took a bath four times. It was hot water, but you could add water, and it was a nice, relaxing hot spring. However, be careful, as the rooms on the second floor have a good view of the lake from the bank! For dinner, we had delicious beef. I think the fee for bringing in wine was 3,000 yen. For breakfast, my husband had Japanese food and I had Western food...but I guess it was less than I expected? Although the facility did not have a large public bath, I was very satisfied with just the bath in the room. Anyway, if you're tired, it might be good to be able to enjoy the bath as much as you want. Thank you for your help.

前からあるのは知っていたが、外観が安っぽいお城風なので、あえてとまらなかったのだが、なかなか趣味のいい 内装でよかった。サービス、ロケーション、共に文句無し。食事はそこそこだが、コスパがいいホテル
