Wanhe River View Inn (Shilu Branch, Shantang Street) Reviews

The River View Inn is picturesquely located directly on one of the many small canals in Suzhou. The room was surprisingly large (it looked smaller in the pictures), very clean, and modernly furnished. Even with the window open, you can sleep peacefully without any problems. Although I only stayed there for one night, I really enjoyed my time there and used the beautifully furnished room to take pictures. The fruit plate and snacks were also delicious. The location of the accommodation is also perfect for exploring the old town center of Suzhou and getting food in the evening in the many small streets. The man at the reception and the elderly couple were very helpful and friendly. I have no complaints and can only recommend this accommodation.

The location is inside the valley and surrounding with local residents. It is easy to go to 山塘街 和 七里山塘。The counter staffs are friendly and helpful.

Highly recommended! The location is a short 5 minutes walk to shangtang street. Easy to walk to the accommodation after dropping off at the main street from the taxi. The owner contacted via wechat 1 day before check-in to advise on how to get to and access the accommodation. Prompt reply from owner on any queries via wechat. The whole accommodation and the room are very clean and nicely decorated. Really loved the ambience and enjoyed the bay window seating area in the room. There is a washing machine which is free to be used by the guests as well as clothes drying area at the rooftop.

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel with great service. The view of the river in Suzhou is amazing. We really enjoyed our stay. 😊

This guesthouse boasts an excellent location, being very close to the scenic spots and offering convenient dining options. The owner was incredibly helpful, proactively reaching out via WeChat to confirm our arrival time and even providing us with local travel tips. The guesthouse's decor is charming and unique, and we were even welcomed with a complimentary fruit platter upon check-in. The environment was spotlessly clean, and the service was truly outstanding. As we had quite a bit of luggage, the owner personally came out to assist us with our bags during both check-in and check-out. It was an incredibly satisfying stay, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to any friends visiting Suzhou.

We spotted this B&B on Ctrip with a perfect 5.0 rating and zero negative reviews, so we booked it without hesitation. The owner was incredibly thoughtful, contacting us beforehand to help us plan our itinerary. The room was spotless, and the main entrance to the scenic area was conveniently located right outside our door. The owner even provided a handy guide for local dining and activities.

The place was perfectly located with amazing services. The place feels really intimate and you will feel like home. They gave some fruits at our arrival, those were so sweet!! And a big plus for the owner who is really comminucative even though we dont speak the same language, and helped me when i lost something.

very good stay, the boss is super friendly and helpful. Very recommend others to stay as here is very near to Shan Tang street. Easily access to all street and local food. Night time got big LED screen for us to chill together with great brew of tea.

The room's decor exuded a distinct Suzhou-style leisurely charm, and the moment I stepped in, I immediately felt my perfect holiday had begun! The host had thoughtfully prepared fruit and a tea set, and it was utterly delightful to sit on the tatami, sipping tea, enjoying fruit, and cracking melon seeds. In the evening, it was super convenient to walk to Shantang Street to take in the night views and enjoy a boat cruise. Overall, a thoroughly satisfying stay!

Such a lovely stay with lovely hosts! Our room was fantastic and so cute, right on the waterway! The outdoor space is also amazing with the top terrace having a great view! A short walk from Shangtang Street and close to all you would want to see im Suzhou! Would 1000% stay here again!
