This review is a bit tricky to write. I initially bought a voucher and saw that this old house had a courtyard, which sounded great, so I decided to stay. However, I found that the cheaper room types are separate from the front courtyard. While the room itself was very satisfactory, there was a bit of a discrepancy compared to the official exterior photos (only the two independent courtytyards at the front actually have courtyards). After discussing it with the housekeeper, they upgraded my room type the next day. Overall, I was still very satisfied. It's a bit of a shame that the old house has been renovated in such a fragmented way. And yes, the breakfast could definitely be more substantial.

Facilities: The hotel is located in a century-old building – Pan Yifen's Former Residence, which is also the Pan family's ancestral home. We stayed on the first floor, and the facilities inside were surprisingly modern, even the toilet was smart, truly a hidden gem! Hygiene: Overall, it was quite good, but they forgot to give us toothbrushes; there was only an empty box 😂. However, the staff immediately brought them over. Environment: Clean and tidy, with a slightly darker color scheme and lighting, which added a lot of character. Service: The staff's service attitude was excellent! After adding them on WeChat, inquiries were basically answered instantly, and they were always ready to help. We even asked for toothpicks and dental floss 😂. Breakfast was delivered to the room, which solved the problem of not wanting to go out looking disheveled right after waking up ~ Thumbs up! Thumbs up! Thumbs up! The hotel also provided a complimentary travel photoshoot with the company Jinghong Travel Photography. I didn't have high expectations, but the photos turned out absolutely stunning! The photographer wasn't one of those assembly-line, cookie-cutter guides; instead, they listened to the guests' ideas and were able to make good use of the surroundings. I didn't want to go to crowded scenic spots, and it was raining that day, so we just shot directly at the hotel, and the results were unexpectedly good! Three retouched photos were complimentary, but I was so pleased that I chose three more! 😁

The location is fantastic! Right outside, you'll find Pingjiang Road Historical Block and Guanqian Street. The hotel itself is the former residence of Pan Yifen, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. There's even a tea ceremony table, and the breakfast is plentiful, delivered to your room on demand. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Suzhou.

The location is fantastic, just a two-minute walk to Pingjiang Road, making it super convenient to catch a Pingtan show. There are tons of qipao shops and beauty salons right outside. You can find all sorts of dining options, too! Staying in this courtyard on a rainy day has a special charm, and there's even a tea room to relax in. The service is great! Plus, during holidays, you can experience Pingjiang Road at night without the crowds.

The courtyard boasts a unique and elegant charm, with every detail exuding the essence of Suzhou culture. The environment is truly impressive. The staff are professional and friendly, providing thoughtful and attentive service. All facilities are well-maintained and functional, with a very practical and user-friendly layout. The cleanliness is meticulously done, and the overall impression is neat and tidy. I would definitely come back given the chance.

Tucked away in a vibrant area, this hotel boasts an excellent location with super convenient parking. The hotel butler service was incredibly warm and attentive. It's perfect for a family looking to rent a small courtyard for a relaxing getaway. A big thank you to the staff for helping us create such wonderful memories. We'll definitely be back!

Full of antique charm, yet tucked away in a quiet spot!

We stayed for one night and were generally satisfied with our experience. The location is perfect—right in the very center of the city, tucked away in one of the charming narrow alleys. The property features beautiful traditional architecture and a truly gorgeous room design. It is quite dark inside, but that kind of moody atmosphere suited us perfectly. We also appreciated the fresh fruit left in our room. On the downside, the room felt a bit run-down, and the mattress wasn't the most comfortable. Also, due to the high ceilings, there was some cobweb visible in places. Overall, it was a great stay for one night!

The room is right inside the historic Pingjiang Road, just a few minutes' walk from the main street! It's a traditional old house with great charm—you can look up and see the wooden beams. It's so cozy!

Nicely located hotel with old Chinese style rooms. It was a nice experience to stay there. The location was perfect since everything we needed was in walking distance.

The hotel is located right next to Pingjiang Road, which means getting there by taxi can be quite inconvenient, especially on weekends. However, for exploring and visiting Suzhou's most famous attractions and sights, the location is absolutely superb. The staff at the hotel are incredibly attentive. Upon check-in, they'll add you on WeChat and provide a lot of guidance, as well as introducing the room and the small courtyard. It's a historical relic that's hundreds of years old, later renovated, and very comfortable to stay in. Enjoying breakfast in the courtyard is just delightful! One thing to note is that you'll likely be sharing a living room with other guests, so you need to be mindful at night not to disturb their rest, which might make it feel a little less private. The complimentary fruit in the room was delicious, and they even gave us a souvenir when we checked out. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

The location is fantastic, right next to Pingjiang Road, making shopping incredibly convenient. The front desk staff, especially one lovely lady, was super nice and even upgraded my room. The room itself had a charming, antique feel but with all the modern amenities. Despite being right by a pedestrian street, the courtyard was surprisingly quiet. Breakfast was Chinese style and brought directly to our room. A big thank you again to the front desk for their amazing help with all our requests!

Overall is good, especially the crew, super friendly and helpful☺️ A few things i would hope to see for improvement. 1) The lighting in the room is kinda dark. 2) Kinda dusty for the sleeping area, u can smell the dust while u sleep..
