Best stay experience. They upgraded me for free because of some issues with my room. The room the gave me was super nice. I love it so much. Best hotel in Suzhou. There is a garden next to the hotel for free entry

Panmen scenic area next to the hotel is very nice to walk at night, with all the lanterns lit on. The light was shut off at 23h00 though without any prior notice, we did have to struggle a bit in the dark to find the way back to the hotel. It was shown that the Panmen area was opened until 23h30. Room cleaniness need to improve a bit: an empty plastic bag of tea was found under the bar area the first day we stayed there. The noodle shop of the hotel offered good food with excellent view on the cherry blossom in the garden. Hotel lobby looks brand new, bathroom amenities inside our room seem to be old though, the shower at the bathroom did not work properly. The room was quite cold at 19-20 degrees C even though we tried to increase the AC temperature several time.

The hotel is full of historical and inherited the traditional building structure , beside the restaurant Hai Tian Lou all the dishes are super delicious .

We spent four unforgettable nights at 吳宮泛太平酒店, staying on the second floor with a balcony that overlooked the stunning hotel lobby—a breathtaking replica of an old palace and its beautiful courtyard. The architecture and design truly transported us to another era, offering a sense of historical grandeur.
The hotel is perfectly situated adjacent to the famous **盤門 (Panmen Scenic Area)**, which includes the historic Wu Country wall. As hotel guests, we had complimentary access to this remarkable site, which became a highlight of our stay. In the evenings, the area transformed into a magical scene, with glowing lanterns lighting up the surroundings and free outdoor performances of traditional Chinese dance. The dancers were incredibly professional, elegant, and mesmerizing—a beautiful cultural experience we’ll cherish forever.
The service at 吳宮泛太平酒店 exceeded all expectations. A special shoutout to Mr. 孫 at the front door, who warmly greeted us every day and helped with our heavy luggage with a smile. The lady at the breakfast buffet station deserves recognition as well—though we regret not catching her name—she prepared the most delicious noodle soup for us each morning with genuine care. Another standout was the gentleman at the service desk who eagerly assisted us by bringing a selection of toiletries to choose from when my limited Chinese made it challenging to request items like shampoo and toilet paper. His patience and willingness to help left a lasting impression.
Our visit to 蘇州 was filled with discoveries of its rich history, exquisite art, stunning architecture, and delicious food. Even with four days, we felt there was so much more to explore. We are already looking forward to our next visit and would happily stay at 吳宮泛太平酒店 again for another memorable experience.

Best hotel in the town ! Clean, location is near to most of the attractions. It doesn't looks like a hotel at all from exterior! Definitely will visit again during my Suzhou trip !

Very pretty the place and the service was fine in the beginning. Drilling works started on our last stay, and it just besides our room. Called for 5 times only accepted by the front desk to stop the drilling work.
The room is quite far from the entrance but understandable.

Wonderful design and location. Free access to Pan Men garden just next to the hotel. Excellent breakfast spread. Design rich in cultural elements of Suzhou.

Stayed 2 nights 2 rooms in Pan Pacific Suzhou, it felt like you’re staying in a ancient Palace which sounds awesome, but given how competitive hospitality is in recent years have evolved in China, they fell short in some important areas.
II’m not sure how to review this hotel, as this falls under the Pan pacific brand, guests will have certain expectations. Its ok some amenities are dated, it’s still a comfortable stay.
But I wished they had more friendly check in service, better coffee (I don’t why they are using 90s small coffee cup, no latte) better free Hanfu (a free but very limited ancient costume) experience, better slippers..
Despite these hiccups, they managed to offer a value for money stay especially for families, large groups, etc. overall a good experience, if you are not a nit picker like me 😀
