My stay at Crowne Plaza Suzhou was absolutely fantastic! The hotel's iconic cruise ship design is very unique, and the public areas have a great nautical atmosphere. The room was clean and bright, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The staff were polite and attentive, check-in was efficient and orderly, and requests were handled promptly. The breakfast selection was rich and varied, with freshly cooked authentic Suzhou-style noodles. The hotel is right next to Jinji Lake, with a lakeside promenade just outside, and Suzhou Center is within walking distance – a truly superb location. The facilities, including the pool and gym, are comprehensive. It's perfect for leisure, family trips, or short-term stays. Overall, the quality is top-notch and highly recommended. They were always accommodating and went above and beyond. 1. During my two-day stay, I took taxis in and out daily. Every single time, the bellboy would open the car door and ask if I needed help with my luggage. 2. When checking in, I asked the front desk if I could buy an extra breakfast, and they simply gave it to me for free. 3. After checking in, a dedicated staff member escorted me to the elevator and asked if I needed help carrying my luggage to the room. 4. I had requested a baby cot when booking, and it was already set up in the room when I arrived, no need to ask again or wait for it to be brought in later. 5. The breakfast restaurant often had a wait during peak hours. My parents and I arrived separately and couldn't sit together, which I thought was perfectly normal. However, the restaurant staff proactively coordinated with other guests at nearby tables to move to different seating areas, showing their attention to individual guest needs even during busy times. 6. The hotel's kids' club was also quite good, with a dedicated staff member managing registration and maintaining good hygiene. 7. On the last day, I wanted to request a late check-out, and even though the hotel was fully booked, they reluctantly agreed. The service was truly excellent. They genuinely listened and resolved issues promptly, without shirking responsibility or refusing requests.

However, as a hotel that's over twenty years old, it can't quite compete with newer establishments in the same category. For example, the TV is a bit small, the internet speed isn't the fastest, and the carpets show some signs of age.

Overall, I was satisfied with my trip: 1. The indoor pool at the hotel was very clean, but the men's shower room wasn't refilled with shower gel for three consecutive days. I hope this can be improved. 2. It's a shame the outdoor pool wasn't open. 3. The indoor children's play area was average, with fewer activities than expected. 4. The lake view outside the hotel is beautiful, and there's also a parent-child cycling path nearby, which is a big plus.

The hotel's boat-shaped design is very unique, and the lobby is beautifully decorated. There are plenty of activities within the hotel to keep the kids entertained. It's also conveniently located directly across from the Gate of the Orient, with shopping, dining, and entertainment just a straight walk away. Getting around by taxi or subway is very easy. Plus, there's direct access to the Jinji Lake walking path right downstairs. Overall, it's a great place, especially for families. The buffet offers a wide variety of choices, and almost every staff member we encountered greeted us warmly and proactively offered assistance.

Staying at Crowne Plaza Suzhou during a typhoon and heavy rain. I arrived at the hotel front desk around 3 PM. Comparing prices, I found that booking through the platform was cheaper, and it might have been even cheaper by 30+ yuan by the evening. The exterior of the building looks a bit old, showing its age. The underground parking garage had a strong smell of螺蛳粉 (luosifen). However, [Star][Star][Star][Star] it's still quite good, with a grand atmosphere. As you can see in Picture 1, the bar is connected to the lobby, with live music, creating a very special vibe. The family-friendly services are also very thoughtful, providing everything needed: bed rails and a baby toilet seat. My room was upgraded to an executive floor, offering views of Jinji Lake. The overall view was decent, though the heavy rain obstructed it. The Kids' Club wasn't as big as I imagined; that's actually why I came. But my child really enjoyed it, and for a 3-4 year old, it's sufficient. However, some of the equipment inside needs maintenance – the princess dress was torn. The indoor pool isn't large, and the changing rooms are a bit cramped, but it's relatively clean. Breakfast service was excellent. Seating and plate clearing were very prompt. [Star][Star][Star][Star][Star] They had nuts, Suzhou-style pork noodles, and both Chinese and Western breakfast options – very comprehensive. The fried items were not soggy, and the boiled items were not mushy. However, if the market price were 158 yuan, I'd say it's a bit expensive. Overall, I think it's worth a second visit. Its unique location and decent soft and hard amenities make it a good choice. It's a 10-minute walk from Suzhou Center.
