A modern stay in a historic building! I compared so many places, and this one had no strange smells (no musty, sewage, or new renovation odors, and any slight AC smell dissipated quickly). You can open the windows, and they have screens. It includes small attraction tickets, and breakfast is set menu style, which was convenient to just eat at the B&B. The service was also good; there's a shuttle from the parking lot to the property.

We had an excellent stay at Tongli Ming Yuan. The manager and staff were excellent, from allowing my husband to use the bathtub in another room (as we did not have a bath in our booked room) to providing charging cables, catering for different breakfast times and helping us to arrange cars back to Shanghai and the airport. Communication via Wechat prior to our arrival and during our stay was excellent. The property is meticulously well kept, very clean and peaceful. I would have loved a hot water kettle in the room to make tea but there are coffee and tea facilities in the common areas. We loved the massage chair! I would recommend staying more than just one night in this hotel to fully enjoy this cute little town.

This stay was definitely one of the few highlights of our trip! The accommodation and surrounding area are both excellent and very convenient, offering a mix of peace and activity. The in-room facilities felt very high-end and just fantastic! The owner was also incredibly kind, picking us up and dropping us off at the scenic spot entrance. The breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. Personally, I feel it was absolutely worth every penny!
