As a Marriott brand, I booked a 270-degree lake view room and it was absolutely stunning. Room facilities: The room is very spacious, around 60 square meters. It has a small sofa, a bathtub, and a desk. Upon entering, there are also artworks and paintings, showcasing great design details. The light color palette gives it a fresh and airy feel. I carefully inspected the room frames and corners, and they were immaculately clean, with no dust or signs of rough construction, truly reflecting the attention to detail expected from an international brand. The 270-degree lake view offers an incredible vista; it was so relaxing to lie on the sofa and gaze out at the lake. Recreational facilities: I tried the Le Méridien swimming pool, which has both a large and a small pool. The small pool had very warm water, perfect for a relaxing soak after swimming. My child also had a great time. The kickboards provided at the pool were excellent, a thoughtful detail. Breakfast: The breakfast restaurant was very crowded during my stay, but the queue was well-managed. The fact that they could handle so many people so efficiently shows that the hotel management is on point. I hope they can introduce some innovative seasonal items for breakfast. Service: Before check-in, the front desk called to inquire about my arrival time, check-in needs, and transportation, and also informed me about the breakfast location. Overall: The hotel offers a great environment, excellent brand detail management, and complete facilities. I would definitely choose to stay here again when I visit Suzhou.

The hotel service was excellent. Upon check-in, the front desk proactively upgraded us to a lake view room and informed us about the executive lounge access. Our stay was very pleasant. The room was spacious and comfortable, with an amazing view that both the elderly and children absolutely loved. It's only a 2-minute walk to Taihu Lake, which is very convenient. We enjoyed strolling along the boardwalk with the family and admiring the lake scenery; it was truly relaxing.

The most disappointing thing was having to pick up my takeout from the 3rd floor myself, and there wasn't even a robot. Most Marriott 5-star hotels have robots, so I'm not sure what's going on with this one. The male staff at the front desk had a bad attitude; he was particularly arrogant. Plus, the vegetables and cheese at breakfast were very un-fresh. Even after guests reported it, they didn't make any adjustments or offer an apology.

This hotel is perfectly situated right by Lake Taihu. We'd contacted them beforehand, so check-in was super smooth upon arrival. The front desk staff were polite and friendly. Our room on the 11th floor directly overlooked Lake Taihu, offering a truly beautiful view. The room itself was spacious, comfortable, bright, and spotless. The bathroom was particularly great for families, with a separate shower and tub – perfect for anyone who loves a good soak to de-stress. The hotel's 2nd floor boasts excellent fitness facilities, including a swimming pool and gym. The pool was very clean, and the water temperature and hygiene were reliable. There's also a LEGO playroom on the 2nd floor where kids can play freely or build with LEGOs, accompanied by family. Sample LEGO models are displayed on the tables, allowing children to follow along and discover the fun of LEGO building. Breakfast hours are very convenient, running from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM. This extended window is ideal for families with children or seniors, allowing everyone to sleep in and still enjoy a leisurely meal. The breakfast spread was extensive and varied, with both Western and Chinese options to suit all tastes. Overall, the hotel offers a luxurious, elegant, and comfortable environment, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing weekend getaway.

The hotel staff were quite friendly and accommodating. Since I visited on a weekday, they even upgraded me to a lake-view room for free. The place is pretty spacious, though the facilities are a bit older and not particularly new. The soundproofing isn't great either, so it was a bit noisy at night. The breakfast in the morning was decent with a good variety of dishes.

I booked this hotel for its 180° Dong Tai Lake view and the Le Méridien brand under Marriott, with a weekday rate in the thousand-yuan range. However, from check-in to dining, and from facilities to minor details, the entire experience fell far short of expectations. 1) Unpleasant front desk communication Last night, when checking in, the front desk staff said, "Since you've already paid on the platform, we won't charge you a deposit." It's 2026, and most mainstream high-end hotels universally offer credit-based deposit waivers or credit card pre-authorization. This statement implied a sense of doing me a favor, like "I'm making an exception not to charge you." It wasn't about the deposit itself, but rather the way it was phrased and the lack of professional etiquette. My first impression immediately soured. 2) Aging and faulty hardware, severely delayed maintenance The overall facilities in the room showed obvious wear and tear. The most impactful issue was the bathroom door – it was difficult to open and close, didn't shut properly, and felt noticeably loose. For a hotel positioned as a high-end lake-view resort, aging hardware is understandable, but functional faults (like a broken door) going unfixed for a long time indicate significant loopholes in daily inspections and maintenance procedures. 3) Inadequate hygiene details Upon entering the room, I checked the bathroom. There were leftover hairs on the inner wall of the bathtub and near the drain, and the countertop crevices weren't clean. When I ran my hand over the top of the bedside lamp, there was a thin layer of dust. For a Marriott brand at this price point and standard, basic dusting and checking bath fixtures shouldn't have such oversights. 4) Confusing breakfast service logic This morning at breakfast, both of us got up to get food, leaving unfinished food and utensils on the table. We hadn't left our seats, yet when we returned, our plates had been cleared. Beyond the basic etiquette that high-end hotels should follow – "confirming guests have left before clearing the table" – this "rush-to-clear" approach was both rude and dismissive, completely unfitting for the service expected from a thousand-yuan room rate. 5) Lack of basic amenities, laundry costs extra Even more frustrating is that, as a high-end hotel in the thousand-yuan price range, it doesn't have a self-service laundry room. Upon inquiry, I was told that the only option for laundry was a paid delivery service. Nowadays, even many mid-range chain hotels offer 24-hour self-service laundromats as standard. For Le Méridien, a high-end Marriott brand, to be stingy with such a basic amenity and instead turn laundry into a "revenue-generating business" is truly surprising. 6) "High-end" drinking water setup, less generous than Hanting Here's the most ironic part: the "free" drinking water provided in the room was Pure Life, which retails for 1 yuan/bottle at supermarkets. When I stay at a Hanting hotel for two or three hundred yuan, they at least provide a 2 yuan bottle of Nongfu Spring. For a Le Méridien at the thousand-yuan level, to even cut corners on this small cost, where has the brand premium gone? This stinginess in details, combined with the broken door, dusty lamp, and cleared breakfast, completely solidifies this hotel's characteristic of being "extremely poor value for money." Summary The lake view is indeed a great asset, but the front desk's air of superiority with "we won't charge you a deposit," the broken bathroom door, hairs in the bathtub, dust on the lamp, outdated equipment, the confusing "people still there, food gone" breakfast operation, the missing self-service laundry room, and even the 1-yuan bottled water that's worse than Hanting's... all these things collectively completely eroded the "cleanliness, decency, and standard a high-end brand should have."

The room was very large and spacious, and the hotel views were also quite good. Staff encountered on the way were all friendly and greeted us warmly. In the evening, there was live music on the lawn, and later fireworks at night. Everything was wonderful and truly uplifted our spirits. I have a few small suggestions: it would be great if the crib could be upgraded, as the current one is a bit rudimentary and too low; also, the mattress was a bit too soft, and my family wasn't quite used to sleeping on it. Overall, it was a pleasant trip.

This was a last-minute trip, and I really appreciate the front desk staff upgrading me to a lake view room – the scenery was quite beautiful! The breakfast selection was decent, though the Suzhou-style noodles were a bit bland. However, the coffee was good. Since it was after the start of the school year, there weren't many guests, and I even got to see fireworks at night. The hotel is a bit out of the way, and there's not much to explore nearby. Also, ordering takeout was a bit inconvenient as you have to go down to pick it up yourself. Another minor issue was the bright green light from the set-top box at night, which was quite glaring – I ended up unplugging it. Overall, it was a good experience for a one-night stay!

First, the good points: the room's location is great, and the common areas are nice. However, the room's cleanliness was absolutely appalling. There were bloodstains on the toilet seat, and the underside of the toilet lid had numerous yellow urine stains. This is the most outrageous hotel experience I've had to date; I almost never leave reviews. I couldn't stand it. Also, why was there only one bath towel?

This hotel is perfect for a vacation. The service is excellent, and the hotel's own garden is lovely. It's also conveniently located for visiting Langshan Mountain and the Yangtze River. The hotel facilities are very new, featuring smart toilets and smart curtains.

Neither good nor bad. They'll try to meet your requests regarding service, but they don't proactively inform you about extra room services or amenities; only the doorman offers proactive service. For breakfast, the sugar ran out and wasn't refilled promptly. The executive lounge isn't great, not as good as InterContinental. You have to mix your own drinks, and there's no juice after 7 PM.

The environment is pretty good; you can step right out to Taihu Lake and catch a beautiful sunset. In the mornings, a lot of people drive here to swim. The Chinese restaurant is a bit pricey, and the executive lounge is just average. The food itself isn't very good. There aren't many dining options nearby, but it's a decent place to relax and clear your head.

The hotel is great, though a bit dated, which is typical for Le Méridien's light-toned style. The views are absolutely fantastic, and while the lawn isn't huge, it's very close to the lake. We even saw fireworks at night, which was beautiful. The hotel staff, both in housekeeping and at the front desk, were excellent and very friendly. They promptly resolved any issues we had. Overall, it was a very good experience, and breakfast was delicious. However, a slight area for improvement is that the details of our package booked through Ctrip were not proactively communicated by either the guest or the front desk – there was no reminder at all. Also, the directions to the kids' club were unclear, and not all staff members gave correct directions, so perhaps some additional training would be beneficial. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we would definitely return.
