This was our third visit to The Labranda Senses Resort Hvar. We love this resort for its location,The facilities and most of all the friendly staff. The hotel offers an all inclusive board basis, which on each occasion we have enjoyed. The food at the resteraunt was excellent,a varied choice at every sitting. The rooms are comfortable ,clean and very quiet. They have all watersports available, bikes for hire and scuba diving for those keen to explore the crystal clear water. The hotel is a short walk into Vrboska town ,which has some lovely resteraunts and bars dotted along the seafront. Buses run from Vrboska via Starigrad to Hvar town ,which has its famous port and some great sights to see. They have dedicated staff in the reception to organise boat tours ,wine tours ,car hire .They are very knowledgeable and will point you in the right direction. All in all,it's a great place to stay, and we will certainly be returning next year to enjoy everything the Labranda has to offer.

The resort is in a secluded and quiet location. The service mind of the staff is the best It's not as good as a high-end restaurant, but it offers a very good meal. Recommended for those who need a break and for family trips

Fabulous location, friendly, helpful staff very comfortable accommodation but, it is not suitable for anyone with compromised mobility. It is very isolated and unless you can walk for miles getting around is horrendously expensive. Car hire with full insurance €100 a day. Shuttle to Hvar town which is only 30 mins away €25 pp. Even the water taxi to nearby Village is €10pp each way. I think that an hotel which is so isolated should provide a free or reasonably priced shuttle to the nearest village at least. As the weather has been a little windy and cold the public rooms are not adequate to accommodate the amount of guests, all in all it's turning out to be a bit boring.

Lovely hotel, location and friendly and helpful staff. We were staying in BLOCK A with a view of the bay through the pine trees. The rooms are a good size with kettle, tea & coffee, daily water and fridge, they also have a safe and slippers and some shampoo / body wash sachets supplied together with soap. We were a party of 3 x couples and stayed for a week, we always managed to find a bed either around the sea or later in the afternoon we would move to the pool area, we would recommend buying the little fold up padded cushions (13E from the local town, Vbroska about 20 mins along the coastal path) which you can use on the bed or the beach area as it is pebbles/rocks. The sea is lovely and refreshing to swim in, take beach shoes to swim in and paddle out in avoiding any slippy stones. We also hired a paddle board (10E for an hour, 15E for 2 hours) and bikes (15E for the day or 40E for electric) and cycled along the cost to Velsa. There is also a little taxi boat that the onsite shop has the details for, the reception will assist and ring to book this for you at a time you want and prices depend on how many people and where you want to go - example, Vbroska was 5E each. There are lots of lovely bars/restaurants and shops in Vbroska and is definately worth a visit or two, it is beautiful and if you walk to the right of the first main bridge you will find this leads to the local bus stop where you can get to HVAR for 5.5E per person, the reception has the time table for this. It took about 1.5 hours to HVAR but again worth the visit as it has a castle and some lovely buildings, bars and restaurants. We spend a couple of hours there before getting the bus back, it goes through Stari Grad and Velsa. We stayed All Inclusive, the food was delicious with lots of choice as well as themed nights (Asian / Italian) whilst we were there, plenty of fish and again the staff were friendly and helpful. We took part in some arranged activities which are included, Paint & Wine, Stretching, Quiz, Cooking - Maria (sorry not correct spelling) ran these and she was great and we all really enjoyed ourselves. There is not much entertainment, some local music but the bar area has some background music and we enoyed chatting and making friends with other groups and holidaymakers. The AI package includes local drinks which we were happy with, the beer was good and you can purchase the branded drinks if needed. One day we purchased a bottle of prosecco from HVAR for 13E as the restaurant bottle was 40E. All in all we had a great week and would highly recommend the resort and hotel.

We found this to be a very pleasant resort with lots to like, although a little room for improvement. It is a beautiful, peaceful location. We had no problem finding loungers, but it was early season. The pool itself is small but the rocky areas by the sea are nice. The loungers are hard and uncomfortable though, it would be much better if cushioned pads were provided. The staff all go out of their way to be helpful and there is a friendly informal atmosphere all round. The food is very good, which was much appreciated and the restaurant is spacious with lovely views. I was surprised that there was no marmalade or apricot jam at breakfast, it is usually a standard item. There was some the first day, but after that just cherry or dark berry of some kind. The only other comment about food is to point out that the ice cream seems to run out, which I would have thought could be easily addressed. If you are all inclusive lunch is obviously not a problem, but we were not and we’re surprised that the bar only serves pizzas or hot dogs, which is a bit limited. It is quite a walk into Vrboska to find an alternative. We like to get out and about, which is one reason we had not gone all inclusive, and as others have said it is very expensive to get around by taxi, more expensive than in the UK or other destinations even though the hotel have a discount arrangement. We visited Hvar Town on the hotel shuttle twice, also Starigrad and Jelsa by taxi. All were very well worth visiting, just at higher cost than we expected. This is not in any way a criticism of the hotel, we have found it elsewhere in Croatia. We also used the water taxi, which was the same price as a taxi but a nice change. There is a lovely coastal walk between Vrboska and Jelsa. We had made a room request, both via Jet2 and directly by email, but it had not been passed on to reception, so clearly a communication issue here. The rooms are on the small side, but adequate, with all facilities needed, also nice decor and lighting, and comfortable beds. We really enjoyed our holiday, a lovely hotel on a lovely island. Wish we were still there.

The property is a 45 min drive from the port of Jelsa. Be prepared to pay €60+ to get to the property in vrboska. It has all the amenities of an all inclusive; Tennis courts, Volleyball, water sports (motorized and non motorized) bike rentals, spa, mini golf, dive shop and a number of bars and places to grab snacks. You can opt for the all inclusive or half board. It is nestled a long walk from the village so I would suggest all inclusive. The main dining hall serves all the meals and you will want for nothing as they have theme nights and cook and prepare every type of salad and dish you can think of. They also have a breakfast bar and snack bars spread out on the property. With this said as an American who has traveled internationally many many times, I found the place was at its peak 35+ years ago and the owners refuse to attend to the gardens or broken and dilapidated amenities. It felt like sleep away camp for adults. Rooms are tiny and they have a mini fridge for meds bb formula water etc. they do not stock shampoo so bring your own. Also bring your own beach towels. If you forget you will have to leave a €20 deposit per towel. I was there 8 days and they didn’t like that I would switch them out. Good luck finding a chaise in the morning by the shore. There is no attendant and families of 6+ put their towels and books and drinks all around and leave them empty hours at a time. In peak season they were all gone by 9 AM. This happened to me the first afternoon I arrived. After that, I literally watched other newbies walk away dejected as the chaise stayed empty the entire day. The gem of this property is their shore line. It is very rocky/ pebbly bring water shoes to swim with. The water is pristine and salty and amazingly refreshing. It was a pleasure to swim and relax at the shore line. We rented bicycles and rode and swam up and down the shore line one day. Another day we paid €65 Round trip each person to take a speed boat taxi to BôL. The hotel also has different day and night time activities for families and their children. The outdoor film nights were popular with the kids. Now the best part is the staff. They’re extremely hard working. Always greeting you with a smile and would go out of their way to make sure you’re enjoying your stay. Angela at the front desk is super efficient and anticipates the guests needs before they even realize it. She helped me book a taxi back to port and saved me €15 in the process. Jerko was my guy. He literally was a jack of all trades. They had him manning the espresso bar in the morning, managing the water sports by afternoon and bartending at the pool bar by night. There are so many awesome staff from Macedonia to Serbia to Philippines. I really loved the convergence of ethnicities. Bring extra Euros as the atm in the hotel is either broken or rips you off with an insane fee in addition to whatever your bank charges.

This hotel purports to be 4 star but on the basis of our experience it is barely a 2. The facilities are extremely limited with minimal indoor areas for guest to go when weather is bad other than your room. Food was disappointing largely luke warm and lacking in variety. I also feel that potential visitors should be warned that its location is such, on a sloping hillside that requires residents to negotiate multiple steps and slopes making it challenging for anyone with mobility issues.

As a travel agent that has stayed at a lot of all inclusives, this has got to be my favourite. First of all, if you read the reviews you will see that a couple of people haven't done their research and whine about how far from split airport it is. How remote it is, is part of the beauty of it and once you get there, you have everything you need. The staff go above and beyond and the head chef is an amazing woman who makes everything fresh and you can really tell. The food is absolutely delicious and is the best all inclusive I've ever been to by far. The place has a lot of natural beauty and it is not too crowded. There are tours operating from the hotel if you want to island hop. I've just finished a lovely morning stand up paddle boarding and we're going to rent a bike to bike to the next town. I am here with my partner but it is also perfect for a solo trip and for families. The beds are really comfortable. I have nothing bad to say. Thank you for a lovely stay, I will definitely be back.

We have had the best week at Labranda. The staff are brilliant, helpful kind professional with a personalised way that makes you feel so well looked after. We did the all inclusive and cannot get over how good the food and restaurant experience is. kimal, the manager, is always around ensuring smooth running. We cannot fault this hotel in any way, clean, functional and in the most beautiful location, mere steps from a swim in the Adriatic..a blissful week, Thank you to all the staff. Tom and Elaine. UK.
