A cozy little apartment hotel that feels like home. Location wise is convenient, very near to shops and the harbour.

Terrible waiters and receptionists: We booked 2 rooms. When we checked in at noon, the receptionist clearly agreed to arrange a room that was not facing the road. But when we came back in the afternoon, the other room was arranged in the room facing the main road. This room was in the corner. It looked like it was facing the aquarium, but it was actually facing the left front ~ or two main roads. They repeatedly said that you had to pay more to change rooms.
Old facilities: It seems that there is no maintenance or repair, disgusting gauze curtains, dirty carpets, and air-conditioning inlets and outlets full of old dust. Mechanical knob dishwasher, old TV. ......
Bad location: Although it is in Darling Harbour, the two sides of the hotel face the two busiest highway-like roads. The speed of cars is very fast day and night. You have to close the double balcony door tightly to fall asleep, but the carpet and dirty air conditioner in the room make the air very bad......
Take a look at the photos......

I like it because it has a kitchen. If you go here, cook at least once! The meat is cheap and delicious! And it was spacious and comfortable. I also did laundry once.

Clean, has a balcony, can see a bit of Darling Harbor, has microwave dishes and cups, very convenient, will stay again
The hotel came with a bath and laundry facilities in the room which was a bonus as we had been travelling lots. It came with cooking facilities that we did not use as no nearby supermarket in walking distance. Although we used the laundry we received what I perceived as a passive aggressive note under the door from hotel about saving water and electricity see photos whilst the washing machine was going. If you don't want your guests using the facilities don’t provide them and we would have chosen another hotel. It really put a sour note on our stay! The choice of tv channels was very limited too, stayed in cheaper places that provided more.
Response from Property: Dear 542terim, Thank you for choosing to stay at Adina Darling Harbour and for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are pleased to hear you had an enjoyable stay and you appreciated all aspects of your stay including our spacious and well-equipped rooms with facilities to ensure our guests have a comfortable stay. In regards to the letter you received, this was due to the public holiday. This is to inform our guests that the housekeeping team will only do a Green Clean of your room on that day, not that they shouldn't use the facilities in the room. We do hope that we can welcome you back again soon. Kind Regards, Anne Relief Assistant Hotel Manager

Our room definately needed some renovation. Everything worked OK, but was a bit oldfashioned and "expired". But the location is great, -close to the wonderful Promenade at Darling Harbour.

Pros Darling Harbour. Pillows fabulous. Great view from the balcony Cons Check in is at 3pm . Not a good check in time. Most hotels 2pm at the latest. There was only one staff member and people HAD TO LINE UP LIKE McDONALDS. The line and l do mean a line had 20 people or more. Humiliation. People jostling for position in a bedraggled line. Elevators were positively scary. Shuddered and didn’t always work open and clsing cards not working also on day 2 of our stay the cards didn't work at all and from the staffs reaction this is on purpose or a continuing problem???? My son with a card was not allowed to use his and was made to wait while we were called in room to verify his relationship to us????? I am so sad to say cleanliness is my main priority in rating accommodation and this was not to anyone's standards; found hairs in shower on the wall long hairs. A discarded Coles hairband package in sofa.i rang this hotel 3 times to ask about the third bed as my son is 6 feet 10 inches and l SPECIFICALLY asked if the single bed was a roll away. "NO " but yes it is and is in the middle of the lounge. No privacy short horrible fold away bed Do not say it's a permanent bed if is not. Omg l enquired 3 times.!!!!!!! The shower ventilation shaft in shower was clogged with grey dust and crust and was what l can only imagine years of grime. As the shower head is over the bath and as a normal sized female l was looking directly at it within inches of my face. Very unhygienic. Stripped linen as a courtesy to cleaning staff found dark black stain on a pillow. Room 88. Let's talk parking. Vehicle registration recognition does not work. Not only for our vehicle but for many observed vehicles. Also be aware of a 1.00 charge after checkout. Not a big amount but why and if this is a charge to everyone every day . You do the maths? Still to clarify why this was charged?? Waiting. This is the bare basics . You get what you pay for but at their prices l expect alot more.
Response from Property: Dear Jocelyn K, Thank you for taking the time and sharing your experience on your recent stay with us at Adina Darling Harbour. We value guest feedback in every instance and your feedback is very important in helping us to improve our service and develop our accommodation. Please know our Housekeeping and Maintenance Managers have been informed of your feedback and are investigating the issues. In regards to the $1 pending transaction, it is not a charge. It is a pre-authorisation of your card that is held upon arrival. This is in-case of any incidentals (such as the cafe or parking). This is held on all bookings at check in and it will be released again after departure. Once the transaction is no longer pending, it has been released back into your account. I do hope we can welcome you back again to show you a true Adina experience. Kind Regards, Anne Relief Assistant Hotel Manager

Rooms tired and need a refresh. Carpets old and wrinkled, bathrooms dated and dark. Convenient location though and rooms are clean. Limited views of Darling Harbour from tiny balcony. Bedrooms small and cramped. Would stay again though due to convenience and accessibility .
Response from Property: Dear gemleo, Thank you for choosing to stay at Adina Darling Harbour and for taking the time to give us your feedback. I agree, our rooms are in need of an update, we are planning a full refurbishment of the hotel later this year. We would love it if you could come back and see us when we are all spruced up! We do hope that we will be welcoming you back again in the very near future. Kind Regards, Anne Relief Assistant Hotel Manager
