Meriton Suites Kent Street

Overall, it's okay, but the facilities are not as good as other Meriton properties, perhaps because it's an older one. The mandatory credit card policy isn't great, as you have to pay extra credit card service fees! This wouldn't be an issue with cash, but Meriton only accepts credit cards. I ended up paying over 400 extra for a 9-night stay, which I'm not happy about.

For my Sydney trip, I chose the Meriton Suites Kent Street, and overall, it was a great experience, especially for families. The hotel's location is super convenient, very close to Chinatown, with an abundance of dining options nearby. Whether you're craving Chinese food or local delicacies, you'll easily find something. The pho downstairs was delicious, making dining both easy and tasty. The suites are designed like apartments, fully equipped with everything you need for daily living, and the rooms are clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. Communication at the front desk was entirely in English. Overall, the hotel offers high practicality and convenience, perfect for family travelers who prioritize location and comfort. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Sydney if the need arises.

Room cleaning is only provided after a three-day stay; otherwise, there's an additional charge. Full cleaning and linen changes are only done after a seven-day stay. Most hotel amenities require a QR code scan to request. The room itself is quite spacious, and the balcony view is also good. The location is excellent, but everything else is... meh.

Excellent location, with stunning sunset views from the higher floors. Shopping and dining are incredibly convenient, right next to George Street. You can easily walk to attractions like Hyde Park, museums, the Royal Botanic Garden, and the Sydney Opera House.
