Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park

The rooms are as spacious as ever, and there's a very friendly Chinese-speaking guy at the front desk. Although it's an older five-star hotel, the rooms have been wonderfully renovated and are very comfortable and roomy!

The location is excellent, right across the street from Hyde Park. It's about a 2km walk to the Capitol Theatre, and next to Westfield and various other malls, with Chinatown only one or two kilometers away. The facilities are a bit old but well-maintained. When checking in, a deposit was required. Based on comments, it was usually $100 per night if paying cash, but the front desk charged me $300 per night? They charged $600 for two nights, which was a bit uncomfortable and left me speechless.

The room was quite nice, considered high-end for Sydney. The breakfast was very exquisite, and the pour-over coffee was exceptionally good. Sitting by the window having breakfast, you get a perfect view of Hyde Park. There was a gentleman at the check-in desk who spoke Mandarin and was particularly helpful. They accepted cash as a deposit, which was convenient. The location is also excellent, making it easy to get anywhere. We checked out and then stored our luggage. It started raining in the middle of the day, so we came back to change clothes. We explained the situation to the front desk, and they directed us to the sauna and shower room on the top floor. We were able to sort out our luggage and change clothes there. Complimentary bottled water was also available at the luggage storage area.

The room and bathroom are quite spacious. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the subway station. It has both a front and back entrance; the back entrance is closer to Queen Victoria Building, and the front entrance is closer to Hyde Park. The breakfast selection is also quite varied, surprisingly even offering freshly cooked noodles!

The environment is clean and the service is attentive. A special shout-out to the gentleman at the front desk who spoke Chinese; he was very patient in helping us with our issues. Thumbs up! My only minor gripe is that the breakfast was exactly the same for four days straight; it would be nice to have some variety. However, this small flaw doesn't affect my five-star rating for the hotel. The location is absolutely fantastic! 👍

Perfect location! Breakfast hours are generous, and the variety is quite good. The hot noodle soup was a big plus! 👍 The staff are all very friendly. The room was spacious, and the bedding was very comfortable.

An older hotel, but the location is truly excellent. It's right across the street from the train station, and Hyde Park is directly opposite the hotel. It's a central location, making it convenient to go anywhere. Although the hotel shows its age a bit, it's very clean. The room size is decent, and it even came with a universal adapter. Breakfast was just okay. Overall, I was quite satisfied.

The room decor is beautiful, clean, and tidy, and it's great that they replenish the mineral water daily. The hotel's location is excellent; the train station is just a few steps away, and it's only one stop to the Opera House, which is super convenient. Myer, DJ, and Chemist Warehouse are all nearby, making shopping easy. Several famous restaurants like Totti's and Encasa are also within walking distance. I highly recommend staying here when you visit Sydney; it's truly convenient and comfortable!
