Super excellent property Grand Hotel Salsomaggiore We enjoyed our stay over there for three night Breakfast was very good. One serious issue is no taxi is avaialble in this small vilage of Salsomaggiore be veary careful and plan your return keeping this in mind. No nearby grocery store is avaialbe in this area. Super excellent amibiance outside having a nearby park, lot of birds singing one can hear, cool down and come back. We enjoyed our stay here...............

We visited this hotel in July 2022. It was supposed to be part of a foodie experience. We were so glad to leave this hotel. I really have tried hard to find something, anything, positive to say about this hotel and I cant. My reviews are usually positive but there was so much to be unhappy about here. The room was tired and grubby with ripped curtains. The description of the hotel is so far from the reality that I have had to check several times I had the correct hotel. There is a Grand Hotel across the square (not Grand Hotel Regina) and it appeared to be a fine hotel. Our room was grubby, the shower was a trickle at most. The one evening meal we attended was (I dont like to use the word disgusting but its the one that fits best). We were there three nights. My wife gave up on breakfast after one but I persevered. I never saw a member of staff at breakfast on each of three days. I saw many flies at the buffet breakfast enjoying the scant selection of cheese and meat ahead of the guests. It was awful. Everything about this hotel was awful. It doesnt merit two stars and I cannot understand why it has more. I have stayed in many many hotels and this hotel is undoubtedly the worst. It is at best a cheap hostel but for a true description words escape me.

We stayed in this facility for two nights, accompanied by our 5-month newborn. Firstly, a greeting to the staff: from the reception to the dining room, everyone has proved extremely friendly, competent and always with a smile on their lips. A point of attention for the families with newborns: the hotel does not have an elevator, so if you have a walk, there may be some difficulties. As regards the room, it was functional and essential in both size and furniture. We would have enjoyed a balcony or a outdoor space to dress out costumes or dressing. A special bar goes to the pool: although not very large, it is well maintained and the bar is very comfortable. The bedrooms are available and, depending on the time, you can also enjoy shadow areas. In short, it is a hotel in the average. It does not split into particular services by maintaining a good general standard, with an adequate quality/price ratio (105 € per night + camping bed for the newborn).
