A bit high priced for service and location. Quaint decor, no elevator. Housekeeping staff need better training, dirty mirror, no shampoo in the dispenser. Front desk and door service great. Only place to eat is chicken restaurant opposite, or restaurant in hotel that looks dead. Buffet breakfast included... Only OK.

We had a great time staying in room 313 at Tac Plaza Hotel for two nights. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the Wi-Fi connection was fast. However, the toilet was elevated, which could be improved by installing a small step at the toilet door. The buffet breakfast was decent, but it’s advisable to arrive early. The hotel’s artistic and antique decor was a bonus, and it added a unique charm to the overall experience.

There is dust on and behind the TV. The windows are dirty and there is trash around them. The upper shelves in the wardrobe are also dirty. The floors are not clean. The air conditioner is extremely loud and sounds like a jet engine, so it is very difficult to sleep. At night there are strange noises and we don’t know where they come from. The price is completely not adequate to the conditions. I really don’t understand how this hotel has such good reviews. We have stayed in many hotels in the Philippines and we know that standards here can be different than in Europe, but this was really too much. Spending a night here was a terrible experience.

The interior of the building and the lounge are beautiful, but the Christian expressions in the form of sayings and photos are very dominant... even in the rooms, there's plenty of religious decor on the walls and a thick Bible. The room I had needs a renovation; the floor, toilet door, and beds show significant damage. How does a guest even manage to cause that much damage? In the bathroom, which has a floor about 40cm higher, there's no towel hook. I checked several other rooms that were open after check-out, and their bathrooms also had this raised floor – not very convenient for elderly guests with mobility issues. The two-person Deluxe room is very small, 16m², and overpriced for its size, though it might be acceptable for one person. During my three-day stay, no cleaning was done, which is definitely an area for improvement. Daily checks should certainly not be missing for this price. Breakfast is served in the lounge, which is lovely and a pleasant place to sit at a table during the day. The breakfast is a small buffet with limited choice but sufficient. The location is okay, a 10-minute walk to the harbor and market, with many shops nearby. Beyond that, Tacloban itself isn't particularly attractive, with its rectangular street layout. The staff are friendly but not very engaging in casual conversation; they just do their job. Ellen and Irene at the reception always have a friendly smile. Transportation to and from the airport and bus terminal is fine... just take a Grab or negotiate with taxis.

We had to ask the front desk staff to transfer us to another room because the aircon unit wasn’t working. There’s a water dispenser at the 3rd floor. Breakfast is buffet; not much selection but it’s okay to get you by. No elevator as well. Location is great. 24 hours open Andok’s and supermarkets are near. ATM machines are everywhere. Must visit restaurants: Ocho; Prakaz bbq; Fahrenheit food Center. The hotel restaurant is a good place to dine too. Huge servings and tasty. Very friendly staff also. Full of cute and antique stuff in this hotel which are definitely collectors items; very interesting. Tip: if you’re a light sleeper, ask for a room not on the street side as the vehicles tend to be very noisy since the rooms are just until the 4th floor.

What i like the most in our stay in this hotel is that its good location that is convenient and accessible. The hotel is in the very heart of the city so its just a minute away from malls and other landmarks you opt to visit.

the bad thing we stayed for 3 nights,we had the Matrimonial room,the worst hotel room we ever stayed, no window,no refrigerator the room have smell like sewage,and its feels like we are in isolated room, we have to open the door day and night because of the smell,we told the receptionest when we left hoping they.ve done something about it,so no one else can experience,what we had experienced, the room has no lift so i suggest don't bring lots of luggage. the good thing, location is great,just walking distance to almost everything, service with the smile, free breakfast, we wont be coming back though.

I love the place neat and cozy. I hope to stay in this venue again soon .. The staff is friendly and the Breakfast they serve is to my liking . God bless and more vacay soon to stay in your place ..

It's nice, but it's a bit hot because the AC is far away.
