This is a charming little inn. Great location, decor and attention to detail. Very comfortable, although I did have the largest room and I believe the only one with a private bathroom. The hostess was very friendly and enthusiastic. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

We received a warm welcome even though we arrived quite late in the evening. The next morning we were given a second welcome, with info about good places to eat and local amenities.
The gite is very clean and the owners and staff are welcoming. The gite is close to the tourist area and features a second floor balcony so we could sit and "people watch" or read our books or have a drink and snacks.
There is a lot of parking, hot water and the common areas are large. The hosts have thoughtfully provided useful items like plates, bowls, cups, kettle, etc. for guests' use.
This is a great place to stay, but I would not recommend it for people with small children... there are too many fun decorations. Also, for older people, there are stairs and many area rugs.

This property is a standard B&B. The owners are very hands off, as a matter of fact we never saw them except on checking in when they gave us our key and a quick overview of the town. The room was dated but functional. There was a 2 inch step down into the bathroom. because of the flooring it blended in perfectly. Unless you know it is there, you have to discover it the hard way, and always remember it is there or you will rediscover it. I cracked my toe three times and my wife almost went into a wall mirror. It is a lawsuit waiting to happen. There was absolutely no direction on what to do at checkout. We just left our room unlocked and the key on the bed. Hope that was the protocol, but there was no key drop, paperwork stating what to do, or person to ask. All in all, if you want somewhere to stay that is in a good location and you aren't opposed to the quirks, this place will serve its purpose.

Gite Au Vieux Pommier is an absolute delight in the magical backdrop of Tadoussac!!!
My husband and I stayed there for a week, and it surpassed literally ALL of our expectations. The overall hospitality, cleanliness, comfort and amenities from this 3 star B&B, is worth a top 5 stars. What makes it super special is that it is maintained with so much love and care - which is felt in everything from the cozy decor down to the handwritten notes the family leaves you and the warm heart-felt help and daily services/upkeep offered.
