We stayed at Hotel Le Pionnier for one night. As people have mentioned, there is a lot of outdoor space that does look at the river, but with a fence and some other buildings in the way. The hotel is good, but it's expensive for what it is. The sheets felt cheap, there is certainly space to put bigger beds in each room, and there were signs throughout the rooms with rules that made you want to laugh and ask a hundred more questions (i.e., don't stain the sheets/towels or you'll incur an extra cost because it's abuse for the hotel staff).
Would it be my first choice to stay here again? No. But I'm also left to believe that it's a reasonable price for Tadoussac, especially when the hotels leave the same experience for guests.
