Thompson Suites BGC (One Uptown Residences)

The apartment's location is indeed excellent, right in the heart of BGC, Manila's most bustling and safest area. The room is quite spacious and largely matches what was shown on the display page. However, the service desperately needs improvement. Despite adding WeChat and sending emails beforehand, there were no detailed picture guides. For first-timers like us in this unfamiliar city, how are we supposed to know what's the North Wing or South Wing? After getting out of the car, all we saw was the Up Town building, and we had no idea if it was an office building or an apartment complex. We didn't know where to pick up the keys. After repeatedly asking the building's front desk staff, they pointed us to an unmarked 'Luggage' room next door. Inside were two female staff members, and we had no idea what their specific roles were. We tried communicating for a long time, but we couldn't understand the Manila English at all. Our pre-booked 28th-floor room turned out to be on the 23rd floor. I had to contact Ctrip's platform, and thankfully, Ctrip handled the situation very well.

Great location, but the hotel service was terrible. The air conditioning was leaking, the roof was leaking, and water was seeping through the exterior walls. The refrigerator wasn't grounded and gave off electric shocks. We checked out after just two days. The service was really bad; they wouldn't change our room and refused a refund for early departure. All the reviews on Ctrip must be fake. I recommend avoiding this place.
