We arrived very late midnight after an already delayed flight. The front desk was very helpful and took the time to explain everything, including the extra charge for towels and that toothbrushes and toothpaste were not provided. The reception area was clean and nicely air-conditioned.
Unfortunately, once we got to our room, things were very different. The hallway was extremely hot and stuffy, and the air conditioning in our room was barely working. We were exhausted and initially just wanted to sleep, but the heat became unbearable.
I eventually went downstairs to speak with the front desk, and maintenance came up to check our room. He also checked the rooms next to ours. The first two had the same AC problem, while the third was only somewhat better. He did try to help and even brought us extra pillows, which I appreciated.
We had booked five nights, but there was no way we could stay that long in a room that was so hot. We eventually found another hotel and moved. Even my cousin, who lives locally and took over the suite for the rest of our non-refundable reservation, found that the AC was only minimally working and was eventually moved to another room. So, clearly, the issue wasn't just us being overly sensitive to the heat.
Before leaving, I also wanted to make sure my cousin's information was properly noted since they would be taking over the reservation. Unfortunately, Princess hadn't made a note of it. JC, however, made sure all the necessary information was recorded and even took the time to ask how they could improve the service and what they could do to have us stay with them again in the future. I really appreciated that effort.
Overall, the staff were courteous and did try to help, but the AC issue made a big difference in our stay. I hope the hotel addresses the problem because having a properly functioning air conditioner is essential, especially after a long flight.
