Maritim Hotel Taicang

This hotel is located within a European-style castle scenic area. The parking lot is directly accessible, which is very convenient, and Nanyuan is just across the road. The room was clean and tidy with a modern decor. At night, you don't even need to go out to enjoy the European-style river view, and there's a high-end bathtub. Our child was very satisfied with the stay.

The room was spacious and the facilities were brand new. The staff were perfectly polite and even brought us drinks and desserts. Most importantly, the bed was huge; our four-year-old had a blast playing on it. The location is excellent with plenty of food options nearby. It was lovely to stroll along both sides of Haiyundi after dinner. Definitely worth a second visit sometime soon!

First time staying here and I had a good experience. Some of the details really show the German efficiency. I'd suggest there's room for improvement with the food, perhaps adding more German-style dishes. We'll definitely be back this autumn/winter.

The soundproofing in the room was quite poor. There were large gaps around the door, so I could clearly hear people walking by or even just talking in the hallway. I'd suggest installing weather stripping on the doors.

Overall, the hotel is quite good. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and the housekeeping staff are very polite and accommodating. The front desk service is also good; they even proactively helped with the QR code parking. The breakfast area is a bit small, with only noodles and no wontons. It's very convenient to get to Nanyuan and Tianjing Lake, both within walking distance! Ms. Tender Liu provided excellent service and communicated very well! However, the hotel's breakfast needs improvement. Some of the apples provided were moldy, and the service staff seemed a bit rigid. There was also something strange: on my first day, there were egg rolls, but on the second day, there weren't. Why is that?

Overall, it was a good stay. The front desk upgraded our room, which was spacious and faced the fountain plaza. However, it was still quite noisy downstairs with singing until around midnight, so we had to keep the windows closed. The coffee machine and tea set were a nice touch and very convenient to use. On the downside, the shower water pressure was very low and not hot enough. It took a long time to fill the bathtub, and there were small bugs inside it. The complimentary dessert from our package wasn't great – the cake was just average, and the drinks were the same ones offered at the breakfast buffet. During peak breakfast hours, there clearly weren't enough staff. Plate clearing was slow, meaning that by around 9:30 AM, there were no clean tables available. The breakfast variety itself was decent though.

This hotel is located in the Rothenburg-style street of Haiyunti. From its exterior architecture to its interior furnishings, it's brimming with German charm. The staff are all very nice and meticulous in their work, especially Tang Fengqing, the night shift attendant, who was incredibly warm and attentive. The breakfast offers both Western and Chinese options, and the taste is quite good.

The service and environment are great, and the room is very clean. The surrounding area is lovely and has a wonderful atmosphere in the evening.
