Loudong Hotel

Traveling with a 4-month-old baby, we booked 3 rooms and were upgraded to the Executive floor. It was quiet and comfortable, and the breakfast was decent. The complimentary double noodle set for lunch was also very delicious; there was a generous amount of noodles, and it would have been quite affordable if we had purchased it ourselves.

The hotel seems to have been recently renovated; the facilities are very new, and the room is spacious. The hallway doors open automatically, and the breakfast selection is diverse. They even offered complimentary soup noodles for lunch. It definitely exceeded my expectations.

The hotel boasts a new Chinese architectural style with a sleek gray and white facade. The lobby is spacious and bright. When checking in, I asked if my family and I could be in the same building. Even though our rooms were already assigned, they immediately helped us switch to rooms together and gave us a free upgrade. The guest relations manager was very accommodating and showed great care. They personally escorted us to our building. The room was large, clean, and tidy, featuring a big bed, a sizable sofa, a desk, and a TV. Pulling back the curtains revealed a direct view of a Suzhou garden, and we could also open the door to step outside. The bathroom had excellent water pressure, a bathtub, and a smart toilet that automatically opened and flushed upon approach. The location is superb. It's only a few hundred meters from Nanyuan, an easy walk away, and about 1 kilometer from Nanyang Plaza. Their afternoon tea cakes were beautifully presented and generously portioned, easily enough for four people. They tasted excellent too! 👍 Although it's a four-star hotel, the facilities are definitely five-star quality, and the service was also very good. During the Dragon Boat Festival, there was a free zongzi-making activity. They even steamed them for us, and we each got to take five home. It was a very satisfying stay!

I stayed in a garden room, and the facilities were excellent – very clean with a beautiful environment. The soundproofing was great, so it was very quiet. The hotel service was good, and I even got a room upgrade. The welcome gift was a mini electric fan, which was super practical! Next time I'm in Taicang, this will definitely be my first choice.

The hotel is located in the center of Taicang. The hotel's external environment is good, lush and green, and the greenery is well done. The internal facilities of the hotel are acceptable. However, the hotel's hygiene needs to be considered. The kettle for boiling water smells of mint and has not been washed at a glance. I don't know what the previous guest boiled. I changed the kettle, but it was still rusty. When I opened the toilet lid, there were hairs. The hygiene was very poor. The front desk service was good. If there was less mineral water, it was delivered immediately. 2 points are for the front desk's praise, otherwise 0.5 points. In addition, the breakfast is acceptable, but there are fewer Western pastries.

There is no price increase during Qingming Festival. The hotel lobby is very large. A deposit of 200 is required upon check-in, which can be paid via Alipay. It will be refunded upon check-out. Both hot and cold air conditioning can be turned on, which is good. It is already getting hot, so I turned on the cold air conditioning. There is a blood pressure monitor on the first floor, which can be used for testing. The room facilities are a bit old, with a small refrigerator and no socket at the bedside, so you have to charge it at the desk. The bathroom is from Kohler, which is generally good and cost-effective. The hotel is a 20-minute drive from Jincang Lake Park and a 30-minute drive from Shaxi Ancient Town.

Although the hotel is old-fashioned, I really think it is a good deal. I went to Taicang to stay for a few days when I returned to China. I was too lazy to go to my own house. I would rather stay in Loudong because the cost performance is too high. The room was very clean, the toiletries were complete, the room was large, and it was very comfortable to sleep in with the curtains drawn. Parking is free and the location is in the center of Taicang. The breakfast is also clean, hygienic and delicious, with Taicang meat floss with porridge and freshly ground coffee. It is especially worth mentioning that there is a blood pressure monitor at the elevator entrance on the first floor. I will bring the elderly with me next time.

Good service, clean and quiet, but the breakfast is not as good as before, everything else is OK, the decoration is a bit old, there is no socket in front of the bed, it is not convenient to charge the phone, but all in all, I still like this hotel very much, it is a place I often choose when I travel on business.
