First off, if you've never lived in Japan, definitely don't book this room. It's a榻榻米 (tatami) room, and you might not be used to it. Plus, the room is super small. It's very close to Taichung Station but a bit far from the High-Speed Rail station. There's a chicken restaurant next to the hotel that's really good value for money.

The front desk staff were polite but a little cold, though there were no issues with their service. The location is excellent, just a three-minute walk from Taichung Station, and there are plenty of convenient dining options nearby. The room facilities were all in working order, and while the room itself was on the smaller side, it offered great value for money. It's perfect for travelers who just need a place to rest and briefly stay.

Decent, clean but rather tiny room. The service staff were friendly and accommodating. Quite a good location that is otherwise hampered by the rather poor public transportation in Taichung. I could be asking for too much coming from Singapore. Overall, it was a pleasant 5 nights stay at CityInn hotel.

Great stay overall. The staff were friendly and helpful, check-in was smooth, and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was convenient and the facilities were well maintained. Amenities were decent and everything worked as expected. Good value for the price and I had a pleasant experience during my stay. Would consider staying here again in the future.

Hotel room is small but overall the facilities in the hotel room are decent. The hotel receptionists are helpful and the hotel room is clean. Location wise is near to Taichung train station, but not so favorable for me as it’s not near to the high speed rail station or any other tourist spots except Miyahara ice cream. Breakfast can also be improved further.

Location is good and offer free laundromat and detergent which is very convenient for travellers. Clean and quiet room. Overall one of the better stay I've had in tai chung.

This was my 3rd time staying here. Very near to railway station & foodcourt nearby. Room is clean but quite small & limited space if you have larger luggage. However, the breakfast is delicious & it's healthier choice during our stay this round. The service staff is very polite & courteous at all time. The reception staff even have the record which I stayed before. There is also a waiting area with seats & table for guests with relaxing music being played. A small area for younger kids too. A good choice for hotel accommodation if you plan to visit Taichung.
